I chose to stay in Minang Cove Resort because almost all reviews I read on it was positive. After staying there I think it is just Ok for me. The Good : friendly staffs, quiet, lots of fish and corals on the resort water. The Not So Good: a bit expensive, not many resort activities, expensive charges for boat transfers, breakfast.... Traveled with my sister and brother-in-law to stay and go scuba diving for 12 days after attending a wedding. This location (Tioman Island) can be a challenge to get to from mainland Malaysia (there's a ferry in Mersing and flights from Kuala Lumpur) but were able to hire a private driver in Johor Bahru for a round trip drive which... We are a family of 4 (2 boys 10 and 8 year-old). We were looking for a quiet place away from the Singapore crowds...This resort did not disappoint us. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like you are part of their family. The boys had a great time playing on the cute little beach and snorkeling right... More

Some friends of the family brought us here, and we are grateful. A really warm and friendly place to go, kept in a fairly simple and comfortable style. Staff is wonderful and the diving instructor is great. There isn't much you would want to change on this beautiful and cosy place. You might tire of the same routines as the... More

Boy, this is difficult! We were a family party of 6 travelling from England. 3 couples. Big adventure for us of where Minang Cove was a 6 day 'paradise' stay in between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. So we were looking forward to good food, good beach, good snorkelling, good weather, good accommodation etc etc. When considering this resort you MUST... More

Quiet, secluded resort with excellent service. Beautiful, small private beach with great snorkelling off the jetty. Breakfast and dinner were included, both very delicious with generous portions. Lunch was a la carte and a little expensive. There is a walking path through the jungle to get to Mukut, the local fishing village nearby, and then onto a lovely waterfall. This... More

We were in a group of seven celebrating a birthday. We stayed one great night at Minang Cove and our positive experience was all thanks to Nicholas Lim and his team of staff. They were attentive and friendly, and did everything they could so we enjoyed our stay. The villa we stayed in was what we had expected for the... More

Thank you Nicholas, Raj, Bob, Ujal and your lovely wife (sorry I have forgotten your name) for your warm welcome and attentive service, All staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, much appreciated. Minang Cove resort is very beautiful and clean and the staff are very attentive. All the recent reviews I have read give a good description of what you can expect in resort and we were perfectly happy, up to the point that we left, (apart from the hard pillows!!) I actually welcomed the total absence of cell phone coverage, internet... More
