This is my worst experience of any hotels that i have stayed across. I have booked standard chalet and the room is pathetic. The AC was not working, besides the room being full of lizard, some even grazing on the floor. We asked the staff to change the room and at first they said not to have any available room. After... Went to Tioman 5year ago and the resorts remain quite the same. In fact expanded the number of rooms! Some of the rooms are quite old but still clean. Nice scenery and good clean beach where you can have good snorkeling activities just right at your door step! The coral are growing well compared to 5years back. Kudos to everyone... More

Paya Beach is a very good option for a visit to Tioman. The beach is nice, the water is clear, the rooms are comfortable, the food is not bad and the price is very affordable. For the price that you pay, I'd guess you can't really complain. It would have been great if they have sun loungers on the beach.... More

I've been to Paya Beach for at least 3 times for now because I go to Tioman quite often for diving. Honestly for the price that we paid, paya beach is not a bad resort. You get hot water shower and decent beds with air con. The food wasn't the best but you can always ordered from the kitchen and... More

My bf and I booked a 3D/2N package at this resort and we have upgraded to a full board package. We arrived at the resort at around 1:30pm and was promptly accommodated by the reception. It was stated on the package that welcome drinks were included but none were served. They would ask for a 200MYR deposit. Alternatively, you can... More

Finally I have visited Tioman Island. We stayed in the Paya Beach Resort. We were given beach front shalet. The resort itself is ageing but the corals, right in front of the resort ,are fantastic. If you like snorkelling ( and not so far from the beach) this is the place to go. Shalets are basic, food is OK.We had some problems with... More

The Paya Beach Resort is well located and right next to the beautiful beach. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing to say about this resort. The room was old-fashioned. We couldn't close the window nor the bathroom door. The food was nowhere near being delicious. But we had to eat here because there was no other restaurant to be found.... More

Paya beach is quiet. ideal for a relaxing vacation. Rooms are spacious and clean. However there isn't much food choices available during the monsoon. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, most notably the adventure guide Hafiz. He was very helpful as he specially organised trekking and snorkelling trips tailored to the needs of my group of 10 people. I would... More

The beautiful island makes up for what the resort lacks. The pictures of accommodation in the website are a a little deceiving. We booked superior room 603 and the couch looked shabby, the toilet basin was leaking and the shower didn't work properly. On arrival we waited for almost an hour for our food. One of the waiters was plain... More

Priced attractively. Food nothing great, rooms average but neat and clean. Bathroom could have been better. But the Island is so beautiful that you would spend much of your time inside rooms after all.
