Stay away from Berjaya resort. The rooms are terrible, leaking air-conditioners, bed bugs, lumpy beds, closet doors which are falling off. The Chinese restaurant is terribly overpriced. The "one person portion" of noodles costing RM15 (approximately US$4) is enough to feed only my 18 month old nephew! Service is extremely slow! The room we stayed at looked like it hasn't been redecorated for over two decades with a dirty bathroom, and the sand on the beach was dirty, rough and infested with sandflies. We were two families sharing a Deluxe Chalet near the beach. The rooms were spacious, but cheap and old style furnitures. Lack of refurbishment all over the place.
