Stay period : 28/7 - 30/7. Triple sharing room. We chose this one because it was the only available accommodation at Salang during the long break holidays. Room condition & facilities : basic wood chalet, air cond n wall fan are both in working condition. Bed is reasonably comfy but bed sheet is flirty . Bathroom is even more budget... More

Let's be frank. If you wanted a luxury accommodation, you would have chosen Berjaya Resort (a luxury resort located a few miles away on the same island). I know what I was paying for when I opted for the budget room - cold showers and fan only. I was in Tioman to dive and did not foresee myself spending much... More

I stayed at the Salang Beach Resort during my diving trip at Tioman island. Very very basic lodging, it is just a space for you to rest for the night, full stop. Good: Cheap Drinking water tap available at “reception” of the hotel Not so good: Toilet/Shower facility Beddings Cleanliness

We stay here as part of a diving course package. Its based in salang beach is about 10 mins walks away from the jetty. We paid extra SGD 80 dollars per night for an upgrade to double room but honestly just don't be bother unless you absolutely must sleep with air con. The Little bungalow is old and need a... More

Got ourselves seaview room which is pretty good. But beach exposed lots of dead corals during low tide, a sad thing for me. Room 6 walls which is made of light wood are not soundproof. You can hear your neighbour voices and if u are unlucky and got those who talks loudly, its pretty annoying. Pillow abit smelly. No heater... More

For a so called 'resort', it can be a bad choice for tourers. But for back packers It was nice to take a nap and awake the tide is running under your floor. For me (payment by credit card though) didn't feel uncomfortable neither unfriendly. isolated from the trail, that makes your diving experience very special even though the facillity... More

Most of the time, I stay here when I am at Tioman for diving trips. That being said, this is a really budget establishment and amenities and room conditions are really very basic, and to an extent, just bearable for 1 or 2 nights stay. There are benefits of staying here though at it's closer to the north part of... More

This place has all the basics you need. A fan, a bed, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, all in your own personal hut. For $40/50RM a night, you can't be expecting much and should be pleased with what you get, if you are a backpacker watching your budget. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. Next time... honestly, if you're looking for a place to stay with an affordable price this is the place we're you belong. the place is a bit far from the ferry station, some area is a bit dark but safe. they've got the basic things that you need...ex: wifi, resto, etc. note: some of the service facilities are chargeable..... the beach is white... The place is pretty average but for 35RM a night it's not to bad. The thing I didn't like was that the staff, like many of the locals, weren't particular friendly. It's not that they were rude but don't expect a smile, 'hello how are you' and 'your welcome'. Salang is a nice place though but didn't feel like spending... More
