This hotel has had its day - the rooms are shabby, with dreadful foam chip pillows out of the 70s and the most treacherous shower set up I've ever seen. The newer communal areas - pool, restaurant, terraces - are nice with good views but overall it's overpriced for what it is. The one significant positive is that the owner... More

My partner and me stayed 1 night in the Chbat hotel in a Saturday in July 2014. The owner helped us prepare a hike in de Qadisha valley, but make sure to tell him you want to walk on small paths in the mountains, he sent us on a path accessible for cars, for the first 2 hours, but after... More

Being the only hotel guests was scary enough, to add to the misery of the room, the electricity went off in the dead of the night with no emergency power not to mention a flashlight or candles. We had to stay like zombies in our beds until dawn when the power returned only to go off again a few hours... More

This older hotel is quite charming and the owner has loads of information and ideas regarding how to best explore the Qadisha Valley. The included breakfast buffet comprises handmade cheeses and jams plus flat bread, labneh, meats, foul medames, local fruit, tea and coffee. Our room had an excellent view over the valley - which we could even enjoy while... More

I stayed here for one night with my mother when visiting the beautiful Qadisha Valley. The hotel is situated in the actual town of Bcharre (unlike many hotels which are in the ski resort some 4 km away), and is well placed for exploring the area. The hosts were very kind and helpful with information regarding local transport. Our room... More

This hotel is perfect for anyone who is vacationing in this region: Bcharre, Cedars and the Quadisha Valley. As you can read in previous reviews, the owner is a wealth of information about the area and takes the time to custom-tailor hikes, excursions and visits to all of the incredible sites in the area. We would never have known that... More

We stayed here in the off-season, and found it pretty pricey for what you get. The hotel is a bit worn, far from luxury, but clean and the staff was pleasant. In the off-season the double was $115 which was just a little overpriced, but the family room that could accommodate 2 adults and 2 children, was $165 (a lot... More

The very attentive gentleman - must be the head of the family who own and run this hotel! - asked us what would we expect to see in Bcharre when we had already settled in. He suggested us a lot of nice things which ended up making our two-nights trip to Bcharre memorable. The whole family was lovely and hospitable.... More

This well located hotel was perfect for a quiet weekend. The room was simple but clean with a nice restaurant nearby for dinner and drinks. The view is great and the traditional Lebanese breakfast was excellent. The perfect location to sightsee Becharre, the Qadisha Valley and the Cedars.

I was looking for a quiet hotel not a Luxury hotel. This is obviously not a luxury hotel but with the laziest hotel employees in Lebanon. The hotel was nearly empty with less than 10 guests in a hotel than can accomodate more than a hundred as it was in the middle of the summer. I asked for a quiet... More
