We stayed in the camp rather than the lodge and I have to say that the camp is amazing! We had a view out over Tsavo West that included 2 watering holes where a hippo was in residence and giraffe and buffalo roamed past. The food was delicious and after our evening meal one of the guys who worked there... more

We stayed here for one night as part of a three day safari in Tsavo East and West. The wildlife and the views and the location is incredible nothing short of, so we would recommend you come here. On the down side the rooms and the bathrooms are absolutely awful, stained, ramshackle and generally run down it needs huge investment.... more

After leaving Tsavo East our journey continued to Tsavo West once again seeing many Animals along the way. We arrived at Ngulia Safari Lodge at Lunchtime. The Lodge was set in on a Hill and over looks the famous Rhino Reserve which is the largest in the world. The views were wonderful. We checked into our Room which was pretty... more

We stayed at Ngulia Lodge for one night whilst on safari from a resort in Mombasa. We were seeing Tsavo East and West and Ngulia was the most appropriate place to stay for this safari. We had seen other lodges as we travelled and as we approached Ngulia the views were spectaular, you can see for miles across the Rhino... more

First point to make is that this lodge will not be the most memorble thing about any visit. It does everything adequately but nothing well. Setting is fantastic - well chosen when originally built in 1969 sitting on the side of a hill with fantastic views to the east over the Rhino sanctuary. Rooms are small (not in itself an... more

We stayed at Ngulia on the first night of our 3 day safari and would have stayed another night. O.K. the decor is dated but you are so tired after a very early start a bed is all you need. The surroundings certainly make up for any shortcoming's. The views are simply spectacular the grounds are will kept, a small... more

We stayed here as past of a Tsavo East and West safari. As other reviewers have mentioned, the lodge is rather dated. I nearly laughed when i went in to the room as the stone wall looked like my parents fireplace in the 70's. No air conditioning and the mossie net had holes in it. It was very cold at... more

We stayed here during our honeymoon safari - it was the 6th out of 7 lodges we stayed in, and compared to the others, it was the worst. The room was ok, we had a corner room with views of the water hole, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. However, the hotel attracts animals by leaving food for... more

The lodge itself is a little dated it did look like something out of the 60's i even thought it could have been used as an old research facility, but all in all the lodge is great, with spectacular views which more than make up for the old decor. at the end of the day when youve been bumped around... more
