My family and I stayed at Salt Lick and Taita Hills Lodge in August 2014. Simply fabulous!!!!! The lodge Manager, Willy, was so kind and helpful. I forgot my camera at the dinner table and didn't notice until the next morning. I frantically looked through my luggage and realized I didn't have it. The minute we entered the dining room,... More

We upgraded at the last minute whilst on the Jambo Ziwani Safari booked through Thompson as part of a package honeymoon. The hotel we were meant to be staying at was lovely, but we wanted to splash out on honeymoon and when we were asked if we wanted to upgrade we couldn't resist - we're so glad we did! We... More

After reading most of the reviews here I was really looking forward to spending 3 nights here. The room was clean but was really musty and the first thing I did upon arrival was opening the window. The mosquito net was also riddled with holes and fighting with the mosquitoes seemed to be a constant activity in the night. The... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of our safari and we were not disappointed with the round room which had windows that looked out into the water hole and onto the lush green plains where we could see animals such as water bucks and antelopes in the distance and lots of water birds drinking from the water hole. The... More

Where do I start, our driver from game watchers Paul was amazing from start to finish, couldn't do enough for us. Our room(I called them my little huts on stilts) was big and so clean - the view of the waterin hole was just amazing, the animals just came to you. The underground bunker they have there gives you the... More

Beautifully situated in the middle of Salt Lick game parc, this is a must for anyone going on a safari to Tsavo. Upon arrival there were dozens of buffalo and some elephants drinking at the waterhole and in the drinking ' pond' just in front f the hotel. They were so close you could almost touch them! The restaurant offers... More

We visited here as part of our honeymoon, and love it ! Accommodation a little basic, but has everything you need. You really only use this place to eat and sleep, as you are in and out on game drives. We arranged a night drive through this hotel and was not disappointed !
