I had seen this lodge and on the internet and thought it looked very inviting - I wasn't disappointed. The rooms, food and service are excellent. We stayed at this lodge in February and thoroughly enjoyed it. The layout of the lodge was fabulous and staying in raised accommodation was brilliant, a real novelty. The rooms were the best out of the three lodges we stayed in, very sweet and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and called us when animals visited the watering hole.... more

Amazing place to stay. The lodge is built on stilts over a waterhole in a private game sanctuary. Try and get a room facing the waterhole and be prepared to get no sleep as you watch the animals coming and going all night for water (21 elephnats make a lot of noise drinking!). This lodge is now owned by the Sarova Group - when we went it was a Hilton lodge. The journey along the Taveta - Voi road is horrendous once you pass the "tarmac ends here" sign.
