I have visited kulalu camp a number of times now with each time being just as amazing as the last. The camp is in the most amazing setting nestled on the banks of the river very close to a spot where elephants seem to enjoy to bathe and cross the river. The tents were a very good size, a comfy... Visited the camp with family and young kids and had a really fantastic time, the location is beautiful overlooking the galana river. the Staff are really attentive and the rooms are quite basic but a good safari experience. The kids loved all the birds and lizards around the camp and Considering the time of year we saw a lot of... More

Beautiful spot on the river and only 6 tents. Very private and hard working friendly staff. The tents are a bit small but ok. Super view over the river and plenty of wildlife on the conservancy. Nice to relax for two or three nights. The bar is basic so don't expect Drambuie or Campari but wine and beer and basic... More

Having just returned from our stay at Kulalu Camp I still can't stop telling everyone about our amazing experiences ... First day upwards of 80 Elephants came down to the Galana River in the early evening !! The excitement was palpable and the cameras were clicking like crazy ... Such a sight to behold ... Tina and her crew welcomed... More

Having vast amounts of excess baggage we decided to do a road trip incorporating a safari in Tsavo instead of our usual internal flight from Nairobi to Malindi. We were told the journey would be 6 hours first day, overnight at Kalalu then 2 hrs onward journey to Malindi. It took considerably longer than that....almost double the time in fact.... More

This is an amazing location for a very small (6 tents) game lodge. Due to its size the service and food are excellent, and you have the chance to watch the moon rise over the galana river whilst drinking sun downers. The game in the Galana conservancy is a bit hit and miss, although I have regularly seen lion, however... More

Kulalu is a wonderful little camp on the banks of the Galana River, right across from the Galana Conservancy. It is about 20 min down the road from Tsavo East. Kulalu has a broad stone terrace overlooking the river, where you can watch elephants bathing, hippos, crocodiles, and the baboons and antelope on the farther bank. Galana Conservancy is a... More

I have just returned from Kulalu Camp after spending two weeks in the Galana Conservancy on a volunteering trip. This place is amazing! The setting is perfect, the staff are experienced and very willing to help with anything, the accommodation is in really good 'glamping style' tents with proper toilets. The surrounding wildlife came to the river regularly and safari... More

I've been three times and had a terrific experience each time. Imagine sitting at the end of your bed and watching a kingfisher four feet away on a post by the river. Then imagine a croc waiting for dinner and wondering if the warthogs are going to make it (or be it). The night drives are fantastic and a rare... More

It is situated on the banks of Galana River making it a wonderful location. Everything around was very dry but the river was gushing with water. The chef was fantastic and even managed to cater for vegetarians even though he was informed last minute. The caretaker was also lovely and very helpful. It is quite expensive but a nice place...
