we stayed one night at this property and found it to be as most large establishments were on our safari; clinical and efficient but nothing warm and outstanding. we arrived late at the lodge but they had kept lunch aside for us, which we felt was a nice touch on the lodge's part. they had kept quite a large portion... We stayed here on our fourth day of our five day safari just for one evening. The lodges restaurant, bar and pool were all brilliant and had the most stunning views overlooking lake Nakuru, you could be dining with the baboons, zebra and buffalo with the watering hole right over a fence. The food was excellent and had a large... More

The lodge is located at the top of the hill in Nakuru. The view is very good and there are cape buffalos right outside the gate of the lodge. The food is good and rooms are decent. A ideal place to stay if you are visiting Lake Nakuru. Suited equally for family, friends and couples.

We stayed here for one night as part of our safari tour. The view from our balcony was stunning - with views across the park and including the lake. There were water buffalo; zebra; and baboons mere metres away from our room and we could watch the giraffes grazing in the plains below us. The room was simple, but a... More

We stayed for just 1 night during a safari tour. The hotel was lovely, rooms basic but clean well maintained and with a cracking view including wilder beast, baboons and lions!! Food was excellent and the dining room very quirky! Staff were outstanding and always happy to help! Thank you!

This was my third trip to Nakuru National Park, but my first stay at the Nakuru Lake Lodge. Yes, there is severe flooding which has happened in the past as well. Mother Nature speaking I think. We did see rhinos, lions, multiple bird species, zebras, buffalo, giraffes to name a few of the animals we found. It was sad to... More

This was my third visit to Lake Nakuru lodge over a period of 5 years. The staff are as friendly as ever, but the standard of the lodge seems to be in a steady decline compared to other safari properties. We had one of the new rooms with nice views to the distant lake, but there was an overwhelming smell... More

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in July 2014 as part of a 10-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania. The setting of the lodge is terrific, on a hillside overlooking the lake, and they have a nice cool outdoor pool that is a welcome sight on a hot afternoon. The staff were very friendly and attentive, though... More

The rooms here are basic but nice, with good bathrooms. Most (all?) rooms have a back veranda facing out into the park. Five giraffes were nibbling the treetops in the morning -- right outside my room! Baboons scampered around, and we saw some hyraxes on the lawns. From the outdoor dining area of the restaurant, during lunch, we saw antelope,... More
