Lakira camp located inside the Nakuru National Park is the place to be when you want to get away from all the noise and bustles of the city. This camp offers serene views of the beautiful Lake Nakuru. An early morning drive offers views of the wild with possibility of seeing 3 of big Five(White Rhino, Lion, Buffalo) amongst other... Lakira Camp is an incredibly intimate little gem on the shores of Lake Nakuru within Nakuru National Park. It is a 'fly-camp'...meaning it is not permanent. Some girlfriends & I spent one night. It was waaaay too short!!! We were well entertained sitting around the camp fire by the many stories narrated by Saruni - the 'Lakira Maasai Warrior'. The... More

This was a great experience for our entire group. From the moment we arrived, the staff made sure that everything was perfect for us. We had a very clean and comfortable tent. The owners made sure to include items that guests might have forgotten making the experience all the more worry-free. The staff welcome and amenities were only outdone by... More

We loved our time at Lakira camp although I acknowledge it may not be for everyone? From the moment we arrived we were given such a warm welcome and the hospitality continued throughout out 2 night stay. The fact that we were the only 2 people there was fantastic in our opinion and certainly contributed to the appeal of staying... More

for $670 per tent, per night, for two people, including three meals, it's not cheap (compared to some other nice lodges in the area). the drink was ridiculously high priced, $10 for a mixed fruit drink. the staff was nice, service was excellent. the environment was unique for our east Africa trip, however, no more flamingo due to the lake... This is a review for Camp Lakira, which is also owned by Flamingo Hill tented camp and located right on the banks of Lake Nakuru. Unfortunately, Lakira does not have its own listing (probably because it has no presence online). I visited the camp with my family for 2 nights this past summer and wasn't able to pull up a... I Stayed for only one night at this place, the camp is quite basic but yes its intimate. The lake seems like very close and its quite bushy with bushes all around. The dining area is fairly small but i guess it would be ok for only 6-8 cottages that they have. The staff is very good and hospitable they... More

Lakira Camp is the best value and intimate camp at Lake Nakuru National Park. Lakira Camp is the best value and intimate camp at Lake Nakuru National Park. The tents are large airy spinkled with a dash of romance, the bathrooms bush deluxe. This is the paradise where guests can walk outside their tents in the their own seemingly private... More
