I was assigned Tent #8 which overlooks the crater as does Tent #10. Tent #8 is at the corner of the property and next to the fence, so I felt it was a bit less secure than other tents. It also had an “annex” with two single beds, so would be perfect for a family. Unfortunately there were problems with... More

I was given a last minute R&R break and wanted to find a peaceful place to rest, and Maili Saba was perfect! The property is stunning with its views of the crater from every terrace. What really stands out though is the staff, who are the most friendly I've experienced in my many years of living and traveling in East... More

Stayed at maili Saba to attend my daughters wedding nearby. A more perfect setting you couldn't find overlooking the crater. The staff were so wonderful and caring to us, even singing my daughter from her camp to the wedding cars, placing mats all the way up the hill so her dress would remain clean. Great service, beautiful food and kind... More

I've stayed at Maili Saba a number of times. Sometimes I have passed through and spent the day there eating, drinking and sunbathing; other times I've stayed overnight. The surroundings are stunning - the crater lake is gorgeous, the surrounding area is quiet. It's a perfect place for hiking and watching the sun set and rise. The staff is lovely.... More

It was a great experience mostly aided by the View of the crater and extremely helpful staff. Also a point to note is that the place is actually a trust which shares its income with a foundation helping students for higher studies. Food was average because we were vegetarians :) but the chef made it a point to gut us... More

We checked in on the 24th of December 2014. The reception was fantastic. We were served with welcome drinks then later ushered to our rooms. We needed to take a shower so as to shake off the sweat and dust. This was were our nightmare began. No hot water running from the taps. We were advised to let it run... More

Our tour company, Affable Tours & Safaris, took a risk in selecting this location, but it was THE highlight of the trip. Housed in the Great Rift Valley, the lower lodges had fantastic views of the Valey, especially at sunrise and sunset. Absolutely breathtaking!! The tent was very rustic and quite chilly at night. But the staff left hot water... More
