It was a great experience mostly aided by the View of the crater and extremely helpful staff. Also a point to note is that the place is actually a trust which shares its income with a foundation helping students for higher studies. Food was average because we were vegetarians :) but the chef made it a point to gut us... More

We checked in on the 24th of December 2014. The reception was fantastic. We were served with welcome drinks then later ushered to our rooms. We needed to take a shower so as to shake off the sweat and dust. This was were our nightmare began. No hot water running from the taps. We were advised to let it run... More

Our tour company, Affable Tours & Safaris, took a risk in selecting this location, but it was THE highlight of the trip. Housed in the Great Rift Valley, the lower lodges had fantastic views of the Valey, especially at sunrise and sunset. Absolutely breathtaking!! The tent was very rustic and quite chilly at night. But the staff left hot water... More

We stayed there with my family on the 28th of December 2014 nothing beats the experience we had there!! Very tasty and carefully prepared meals by the chef, great and lovely choices from a hand written menu on a board!!(this gave a unique twist away from the norm). The service was excellent, personalized and friendly. They(Lillian you are the best)... More

I stayed here for two nights and I was impressed. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice food and perfect setting. It's located on the edge of menengai crater with breathtaking views. Each tent has a porch overlooking the crater A quite paradise with fantastic service. Will be back

They have too much to improve! The place looks like it had been shut down and opened on the day we arrived! Nothing seemed to work. The swimming pool looked like sewage had found its way into it. One had to run the water for 15 to 20 minutes before warm water could come out of the shower. you could... More

This beautiful hideout just on the edge of the crater is a perfect place to have as basecamp when visiting the surroundings including the Nakuru National Park. Not far from Nakuru but still calm and silent. They gad very friendly and helpful personal, the service was very good from checkin to checkout. The food they served was very good and... More

We arrived in late afternoon via a very bumpy road but we were pleasantly surprised to find a small tent community with a wonderful bar where the food was the best that I had during my stay in Kenya. The setting was beyond incredible as we sat on our porch overlooking the valley. The tents were rustic and charming. The... More

We only had time for one night to rewind from a busy work week, and that turned out perfect! After arriving we enjoyed a 3-course lunch with a nice glass of South African red wine. Then guide Peter took us for a late afternoon walk in thd crater. Great views, not a lot of animals but mainly nice birds. We... More
