We took two interconnected rooms and had good comfort. No TVs is a plus for those looking for a peaceful out of town place. The area provides for Biking, trekking and even golfing, while mingling with wild animals (harmless). The quality and variety of food is excellent and the staff make you feel at home. And the pool is heated.

We stayed here as guests with visiting family members from overseas - and left as friends. The grounds are beautiful, The spa could do with more ambience but the Aryuvedic treatments expertly managed and provided. Meals were sumptious and we were pleased to see so many vegetarian options - the chapatis were great nad Jonatan the waiter wonderful company

We did spend 2 nights at this place,.. though we had chance to do game drives in the aberdares national park, we choose to stay within the hotel, watching wildlife from our hotel terrace, and admiring the unending beautiful scenery of the landscape and great vegetation,..we loved this place.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to there sister place The Ark. The food was very good and the grounds were very nice. We got there late so we didn't have much time to walk around but it looked nice. They have a bus that takes you to The Ark. There is wifi.

We were fortunate to be able to stay here again on our way to Samburu. It was almost as good as last year. We again stayed in one of the hillside cottages - yes you have to trek up and down the steps here - or travel by golf buggy but the views and privacy are worth it. We were... More

This hotel is ideal for people who want a little peace and quiet away from the bustle & hustle of city life. We went during the rainy season and the stretch from the main road to the hotel was treacherous and requires careful driving (although the road is under construction). The scenery makes for quite a beautiful view which can... More

Stopped for lunch at the Aberdare Country Club before going to The Ark. The surroundings are wild and wonderful with wildlife, including zebra, giraffe and warthogs happily living amongst the people on a 9 hole golf course. Beautiful scenery to enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch and overall a wonderful experience.

We went for a recent long weekend. The kids were very well catered for. I went horse riding twice and we were riding amongst giraffes. An incredible experience. It is an extra cost, however worth every cent when riding with all the animals around you. Playing golf and avoiding the hazards was also great fun for all the family. The... More
