Very nice and clean bedouin camp ; you can choose from a tradițional tent or a luxury bedouin kind of house . The tents are basic but comfortable ,the only problem is the bathroom wich is outside in a very clean and well equiped building .But that's the bedouin way of life , after all . The staff is very... We spend one night at Bait Ali Camp in the desert. January is very cold in desert, so this has might not been the best time to come. The surroundings (Wadi Rum) was very beautiful. The place was more or less empty, the rooms was very cold, the food was okay and so was the service.

I emailed in advance to reserve our spots for the Friday night dinner and DJ party. It was SO much fun! :) Dinner starts around 6pm but get there early so you can get one of the inner circle comfy cushion tables close to the fire. Your 15JD fee coveres your meal (buffet - local cuisine) and entertainment for the... More

I spent 2 nights here on my solo bicycle tour of Jordan. Things I liked ============= Pretty buildings and grounds, in a scenic area. The fireplace in the rotunda was cheerful and warmed us during the cold evenings. Breakfast was good value for JD5. Camping in my tent was also good value, for JD10. The showers had nice hot water,... More

Fun overnight near the glories of Petra, this compound offers tents or cottages, a pool, OK food and an overall good experience of the desert. Spotlessly clean, courteous and welcoming staff, even 4-wheel-drive trips available to go out into the sand dunes. Don't pass up the opportunity! In the evening many more Jordanians enjoying music and dancing than tourists--energetic and... More

This place is a wonderful find. I highly recommend to anyone who can spare the time to sleep over at least one night, they should. The camp offers bedouin style comfort and hospitality with modern day luxuries like wifi, electricity, etc. There are bedouin tents setup within the camp that are luxuriously decorated with woven carpets and leather camel seats.... I stayed here as part of a 'Petra from Israel' 2 day tour and the location is stunning. Bait Ali is not a hotel or resort but referred to as a Bedouin camp site but is more of a "glamping" site. The standard sleeping tents were clean, comfortable and the grounds were lovely. Aside from the fact that there was... More

I am not sure why anyone would have a bad experience here. It is clean and the staff both helpful and nice. How the tents can be considered claustrophobia inducing is beyond me. It is a tourist camp -- you're tourists, if you were expecting to spend night with Bedouins, this is what your tourists dollars have forged, but it... More

This is definitely one of the harder reviews I have written..... First this is not a hotel. Some may say it is a 5 star resort (as our Petra guide did) but it is not by any stretch 5 stars so let me disabuse you of that notion. If I were rating it as a hotel it would be 2... More

Driving in on the dirt access road at night, we were worried. Turned the corner, and there it was! Helpful man at reception. If you want a good night's sleep, choose a "chalet," a stand alone room with twin beds with good mattresses, its own toilet, shower and sink, a 42 JD ($65) upgrade from the "Bedouin tent" that has...
