Visited recently for one night. Camp is well situated under interesting cliffs with pigeons roosting in crevices. Food and entertainment was good. Hot shower was appreciated. The tents were a disappointment. Feathers on floor in tent which suggested pigeons have access to them. Sheets on bed had grit/sand in them. Luckily I had my own silk inner sheet. Mattress was... looked fabulous on arrival and stunning lit up at night. But inside of my tent not sure about the others there were cigarette butts on floor a few bird feathers ( not too serious) but in bed sheets felt gritty and I got bitten . May have been sand flies definitely had mosquitoes so be warned. food was ok. the whole... More

Wadi Rum is a very beautiful location, unfortunately marred by what looks like a Beduin camp that is most deceptive. On closer inspection our room was made of concrete block with only a door and no windows or any means of ventilating the place. After a lovely meal and it was very nice indeed, we made our way to our... More

Couldn't have asked for much more really. It is easily accessible if driving (even when I wasn't sure where to go I rang the Camp and was given perfect and simple instructions). Tents themselves are great, as are the bathroom/shower facilities. Very sociable place with a huge central area to relax in. Absolutely excellent food, and hugely helpful staff. The... More

This is my second time at Captain's Camp and I only have wonderful things to say about it. The camp itself is so beautiful...I'm not much of a camper but you can even have a tent with its own shower and toilet and the furnishings are beautiful. The food is excellent and the staff are so helpful, courteous, and generous.... More

we stayed only one night after visiting Petra but this is something i definitely recommend. We had the chance to meet the owner and were very pleased with everyone that we interacted with. We did a tour in SUV, and the sunrise camel ride (both i recommend). Food and service were also quite good. Truly a happy campers

I'm not the "camp" type, but I had a "de luxe" tent with my own bath and shower. So it was ok. The mix of colours in my room hurt my eyes though...guess it has to be that way in an oriental tent. The water in the shower was cold. Apparently the deposit is far away and you have to let... More

I stayed here with a large group of young adults for three days in February. What can I say? We experienced the highest level of hospitality and friendliness possible. The interaction of Captain's staff with our group was unbelievable and truly memorable. We danced, sang, played ball, and interacted in a genuine and intimate manner. The touring of Wadi Rum... What I should mention is that I didn't expect to find so comfortable place in the real desert! I mean, it's untouched nature around and a toilet with a flash in a camp! The camp by itself is very clean, unlike some others we passed by. The Bedouin-dressed owner (or administrator?) and stuff are very friendly, always help and try... More

Such a charming place to discover Wadi Rum through Captain's Desert Camp. Very comfy and convenient rooms with several categories to chose from. The staff arranged us a camel ride to watch the sunset which was beyond beautiful. They are very particular of the spots they chose to show you around and give you the best desert experience; from camel... More
