I visited the camp as part of a business trip but it's fantastic for adventurers, couples and families as it offers something for everyone. It's in the middle of the Wadi Rum desert and the sunrise is incredible as it breaks across the sand dunes, well worth waking up at 5.30am for! The lodge rooms are very 'desert chic' and... More

The camp has very nice private rooms with modern bathrooms and lots of blankets to keep you warm (although no heat). The biggest mistake was checking in on a night when there were no other guests. The staff did their best but it was ultimately very boring. Mostly staring at a fire all evening. I would definitely check how many... More

Amazing mountain surroundings, great helpful staff. We were there when it was practically empty, but they still made great meals and had amazing music. Not a party place, which I think is good. Very modern and fresh bathrooms!

I recently visited captains for a second time last week and it was absolutely amazing. The first time I went was with a group of about 40 people and we had an amazing time exploring the desert, enjoying the traditional Zarb dinner, and listening to Bedouin music. Last week I returned alone with my family and they exceeded my already... More

We visited in June 2012, and it was amazing. No air con or electricity really so it's a real getaway from civilization. We had some day trips in a jeep to the dunes and Lawrence's House. We also had a great meal at the camp, it was a traditional meal cooked in a fire which was then buried in the... More

It's really bad experience, the food was less than what you can find in refugee camp, the entertainment is basically the same crew "reception, waiters and chief " dancing with bad singer , Room with dirty sheets . Room too hot without fan or ac or even clean bathroom I waste 200$ there for service less than homeless shelter offer

We decided for Wadi Rum Captain Camp because it was clear that Osama Ali as the main organizer can flexibly make the stay exactly as we want. And we wanted the combination of jeep tour, camel tour and some hiking in mountains on border of Saudi Arabia. From the first moment everything was going on as it should be. I... More

The camp was absolutely amazing! I've stayed in more than 5 camps in wadi rum but by far Captain's camp is the best! our kids had an amazing night under the stars. food was great and tents were very good.

While the camp is cute and the food well done, the "tent" was absolutely uninhabitable in summer. Mosquitoes ate my wife alive (see pics). This was after we sprayed the tent, sprayed ourselves and used the mosquito nets. Neither we or our private guide got any sleep. To add insult to injury the staff was loud and noisy at 4... More
