After a 4 hour 4 x 4 drive through the desert (we did diversions to see rock bridges, some Lawrence of Arabia sites and so on) the camp was a welcome scene. We were warmly welcomedd by the Bedouins - they are all Bedouins here - and the graceful camels were wandering about grazing on the very sparse unappetising twitch.... More

Awful. I wish I would have read the reviews first. Short for time I booked through Wadi Rum Desert Service in Aqaba. 4WD was short and missed keys sites that were promised. Driver only spoke a few words of English - stop, photo, and okay??? Seemed more interested in drinking tea at the stops then moving on. Camp was disgusting!!... More

Lonely Planet 2009 advertised Desert Service Tours as a way of booking a night in and tour of Wadi Rum. The tour was terrible and missed key sites, plus it was an hour shorter than it should have been. However, this review is about the camp. Like a ghost town the camp was massive and we were the only guests.... More

We had booked one night in Quteish camp. The first desaster was finding the place as there are absolutely NO sign posts on the street. Thanks to my few words of Arabic we managed to at least guess the area where it should be. There is no getting there by car, just by 4x4 if you know how to drive... More
