I have worked in Jordan every one-two years for the last 10 years and every time I come back to Wadi Rum I fall in love. It is so out of character with the rest of Jordan (the chaos and monetizing of Petra, the dirty streets of Amman, etc.). The bedouin here have cooperat-ized Wadi Rum and if you can... More

My two children, mother and I spent a wonderful two days riding camels to and from the very enjoyable Sunset Camp in late April. The conditions were rustic, which is what we were after. The food was tasty, staff very friendly, and the camels were delightful. We opted out of the pick-up safari options and insisted on just exploring the... More

If you want to escape civilization and experience a close enough bedouin experience, you have got to try sunset camp. And the owners are so nice and friendly. Food was good too. Make sure to spend a day there and go on a safari with them. It's a true different adventure :)

We spent two nights and three days in the camp. The accommodation is typical bedouin: simple tents, mattress on the sand, no sheets or towels, very basic common toilets and sort of a shower. The common area where clients get together is simple. The food is very good and traditional. The advantages of this camp are: it is in the... More

I enjoyed my time at Wadi Rum more than I can say and would have loved to have spent several days there. And I would certainly stay at Sunset Camp again, although I would probably check out one of the other many camps at Wadi Rum. The camp itself was everything I expected Comfortable tents, excellent food, and a cozy... More

easy to organise although a bit disorganised when we arrived, it took a while to het going and there was some confusion about who we were. However all dealt with in typical good Bedouin humour! Camel trek was great, guide was good. Camp wa. Lovely, just near a small rock arch. Food at the camp superb and a brilliant welcome.... More

Must explain well, the desert Wadi Rum is simply one of the nicest places I've ever visited; we reached the camp after a great 4 hour camel ride guided by a 10 year old boy. The camp is OK, acceptable food and decent tents and surely could not expect much from the toilet, which was dirty and stinked (but that's... More

First of all if you are travelling to Jordan a night out in the Wadi Rum is a must do. Sunset camp provide you with a day tour through the Wadi prior to arriving at the camp. It starts with Lunch that you choose from their shop (basically you have pita, canned hummus, sardines and cheese to choose from) before... More

My wife and I drove to Wadi Rum during a week long self drive holiday. Getting to the visitor centre was very easy from where we made our way to Rum Village found our departure point where we were greeted with tea and then were picked up in a old jeep to start our tour. We drove to the main... More

Sunset camp has a wonderful location, the sunset and stars were amazing. The food was really good, the staff friendly and accomodating, there was even music around the fire at night, a local musician came and played the oud - it was lovely. However, I would really recommend bringing your own bedding. The beds are made up with bedouin blankets... More
