So I travelled 3 weeks in Israel and stayed in about 10 hostels all over the country and the Green Backpackers was definitely the best! Actually I wanted to stay just one night but then I spent there 3 days. It was not like staying in a hostel it was more like staying at somebodys home. There were so nice... More

I travel 3-6 months per year and am 67 years old, but the Green Backpackers was a perfect fit for this non- backpacker. They have dorms and private rooms with shared bath. Most guests were young but they were very inclusive. The owners designed tours for my desires and abilities, they made a wonderful experience even better. The room, bedding... More

I booked the hostel well in advance and was rewarded a with an excellent "how to get there" plan by email, which proved helpful once I arrived there. The green backpackers inn is not only situated in a neighbourhood of family homes, it is also a rather small, unpretentious building, which was obviously originally designed as a family home, too.... Very nice, cosy, hostel, situated at a beautiful spot in the Negev desert. It feels like home, because it is very tiny, and attracts more or less the same people. Tamar and the volunteer are very friendly and helpful. Lee, the owner, however, could learn from their hospitality, but maybe she did not have a good day?

Dear Monique, Thank you very much for leaving us a review as this is very important to us. We where short staffed that day you arrived and I had to fill in for the cleaning staff. For that very reason I had Tamar and Vroni doing the check-in's... I am very sorry you got that feeling and I will take... More

Very cosy hostel, has a nice family feel! We had a shabbat dinner and it was awesome and very jummy :-) Only downside is that there's only one shower (for a think at least 12 people). The staff is very helpfull and Eliot can be a little crazy but that's ok :-) Location is very good, right next to the... More

I never use superlatives but this hostel deserves it! It was the best hostel I ever stayed at. Everything was just excellent: first of all the atmosphere and the "staff" ... staff meaning Leah, Yoash (the owners) and the two German girls (Noemi and Vroni) who were just volunteers but they all created an atmosphere to feel like home. We... More

I loved staying at this hostel. It was so cute and homey and really convenient since the bus stops right in front. Yoash and Lee are amazing giving people. It is super clean and comfortable. We met some really cool people there. I would love to return in the summer months since so many activities go on then. Loved it... More

A perfect hostel to explore the Negev region and the beautiful countryside around Mitspe Ramon. We're two guys from Germany and arrived on the late evening of New Years Eve 2013. We found a very friendly and welcoming athmosphere. We unexpectedly sat around a table all together and had a last 2013-diner with 7 or 8 nations and many different... More

Staff very friendly and helpful with info about everything. Clean, well-run, lots of international guests of all ages. A very special "sabbath" dinner for guests, on Friday evenings; pot-luck , got us all discussing our spiritual beliefs. Feeling the great brotherhood of Humanity.
