Israel doesn't have too many real backpacker's havens when it comes to hostels, but the Green Backpackers is definitely one! It's run by a welcoming laidback couple and is clean with great beds. It also has a tv lounge with videos, book exchange, terrace, kitchen etc, and it's right by the crater. A great place to chill for a few... More

This was by far the best hostel that I have ever been to. The owners Lee and Joash are exceptionally friendly, accomodating and knowledgeable on the area. Once they have hosted you for the weekly Shabat dinner you will quickly feel like part of their family. The hostel is intimate, clean and neat, and it is evident that Lee and... More

I think this is overall the best place I've been into (I can't use the world hostel cause honestly it doesn't help describing). I'll try to recap by points: Owners: You can totally perceive right at the door step that this place is run with love. Yoash and Lee set up this place thinking what they would love to find... More

I spent a couple of nights at the Green Backpackers. Yoash and Lee (the owners) were very welcoming and warm. Yoash knows everything about hikes in that area and he gave us valuable hiking tips ! The atmosphere is cool, the people are nice, it just felt like home in the middle of the desert. The location is perfect too.... More

I'm a very spoiled business traveler that tends to stay in some great houses all around the world - Grand Hotel this and Palace Hotel that. I'm used to uniformed staff, amenities in my marble bathroom, and upgrades to the suite. Hope this positions my dread when booking the Green Backpackers despite all the rave reviews, the last time I... More

All the reviews will already tell you that it is an amazing place. It is most probably the cleanest hostel we ever stated in. The staff ( including owners) are super nice and helpful and make you feel really welcoming. There are great hiking possibilities and the owner will answer all your questions and give you good tips tailored to... More

I have no expectation when I arrived to this hostel. But what I got was more than what I imagined. It's very warm, friendly and cozy place for desert hikers. Also, Its very Eco-friendly and use many recycled items in a very creative way. I came out from this hostel being very impress with it.

I've decided to go to the desert for a few days on my own and heard about this place from friends. The staff was very nice, the place is clean and cosy and I had the chance to meet some very interesting people. Thank you so much! :)

A nice place to stay. The athmosphere is similar to a family event. All backpackers sitting together on evening. The hostel is close to the trekking places. The bus stops close to the hostel. I have not met the owner.

I stayed in The Green BackPacker with my mom for the weekend (6-7.3.2015). We got a warm, friendly welcome by Isabelle with explanation about the place and about the things to do around. Our private room was so cosy and beautifully designed. I especially liked the colors of the place and all the small cool details (: The common kitchen... More
