I was in this hotel with my family for three days. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff were polite and friendly. The garden was really peaceful. You can easily access to main attractions. We spent nice time in this hotel.

We stayed for three nights in this beautiful old house in the center of the old Yazd. The location is great as all major attractions are within walking distance. The breakfast buffet is served in the indoor garden. Our room was clean and a good size, with en suite bathroom. The garden is very peaceful. The rooftop view is spectacular.... More

we stayed here for one night. The location is very good because lot of interesting places are around and can easily by reached on foot. In the hotel you can get on the roof and have very good view of sunrise or sunset. The inner courtyard is cozy place to sit with friends, browse internet (because only here it works... More

We stayed here 3 nights. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are all centred around a central water filled/tree lined courtyard. The rooms are spacious , and like other hotels in Iran of this vintage a little dated but for $30/night - great value. The ensuite has a westen toilet - a welcome find. The hotel is situated in... My 2 day itinerary in yazd turned into a 5 day stay at the Kohan hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and decided to extend my trip . Kohan hotel is located in the old city of yazd, and it is a very charming old traditional building with a beautiful courtyard in the middle .. Even if it is located... More

We tried Silk road hotel first, but didn't feel welcome in the early morning. So we went to Kohan hotel. The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. We could use the breakfast after early arrival which was 50.000 rial per person. (they didn't mention this, but with check out we had to pay) The breakfast is simple.... More

I had planned on staying at the Silk Road Hotel, but since that was fully booked, I ended up at the nearby Kohan Hotel - and I am very, very happy about that. Although it had previously not been my first choice - Kohan was the nicest place I stayed at during my entire three-week visit of Iran. The staff... More

Although I did not stay here myself (but at the smaller, nearby Kourosh Hotel) I've had tea at the Kohan Hotel and truly loved it. They have an amazing view from the roof (the manager told me it is the highest viewpoint from the innercentre of Yazd), badgirs and waterplaces, a very green and beautiful courtyard with bougainvillea and goldfishies... The location is fantastic and the food in the courtyard whilst the standard Iranian menu is good. Our room in the courtyard at the back was small with no cupboard space. The basin taps did not work and the power point hung from the wall.I eventually repaired the door lock myself. Building works were underway [late Oct]but general maintenence has been neglected.The... More

Really enjoyed the Kohan. Solo traveller, I was given a room across the courtyard which opened out onto a smaller courtyard. You could open the full length doors to bring in more light and air into the room. The room was small but perfectly adequate. 2 twin beds that were firm (my preference anyway), nice clean linen and adequate number... More
