The rooms were well cleaned, with a little bit of defects, but not a big issue. Amenities were excellent with 2 swimming pools, suntan bed by the lake, double story verandah with cool breeze and wonderful lake view. It's also situated at the tourist spot of Tuk-Tuk where the local community cater to the tourist crowd with lost of food,... More

I was very excited to stay at the Samosir Villa Resort after seeing some amazing photos of the hotel and fantastic views. I justified paying extra for what I thought would be a luxurious stay an upmarket hotel... How wrong I was. Firstly on arrival I was shocked at the amount of litter there was around the grounds. Empty plastic... More

It was a surprisingly enjoyable and cool stay I had with my family, siblings and cousins at this Villa, located at Tuktuk, Samosir Island. Tuktuk is not too difficult to reach. From Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, you can take a "Nice" taxi which cost around USD 40/van to reach Tigaraja, Parapat. The trip will take around 3-4 hours passing... More

Rented the VIP room with promised refrigerator, wifi and aircon. However at the room, refrigerator and wifi can not work (still ok for us), but aircon totally can not work also, which is terrible for us. Calling the reception for complain, but they never answer our calls. We need to walk back and forth to the reception.

Nice hotel, nice food, nice view of toba lake in front of my room. But the rooms near lake too far to reception desk and restaurant, so someday the hotel crews "lazy" or not coming fast if we need something or cleaning the room. But it comfort enough to choose this hotel if you come to Toba Lake

As backpackers on a small budget, we came to Samosir Villa Resort simply because nothing else nearby provided acceptable accommodation and it was getting dark. We ended up getting a good deal on a VIP room, as it was during the week and low season. The VIP room was lovely, keeping in mind we are backpackers who have stayed in... More

a very nice resort with nice view, but take rooms with AC as it can be pretty hot eventhough they claimed that the rooms facing the lake is windy. room is just ok, nothing to shout about, just normal room with toilet. they have a very nice pool too

Went to the restaurant for dinner. First up, their avocado and chocolate milkshake is lovely. From there it went downhill. We ordered Nasi Goreng and Nasi Goreng Spesial. Good amount of rice but one tiny partially fried egg and tiny chicken leg with it. Meagre 'salad' (one slice of tomato and two tiny lettuce leaves) Nothing special. Ordered a side... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for leisure and though the room we were allocated had a nice view of the lake, service of hotel and others could have been better. I booked through a local friend via phone call and no deposit/cash were needed to secure the booking. We missed the 5.45pm ferry ride into Samosir Island so we had... More

Simosir Villa is the newest hotel on Simosir Island set amongst scenic settings. I stayed in a deluxe double room with wonderful lake views for two nights. Booking in was quick and staff escorted us to our room. The hotel is built on a hill so expect climbing up and down many stairs. My room was large containing a comfortable... More
