Much more expensive than other, simpler options, we stayed here because of the great vegetarian restaurant and the "jungle" bathroom, plus the size and cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately over three days there was no hot water when we wanted it and the staff seemed unwilling to resolve this or keep us up to speed with how repairs were going.... more

Tabo is a cute littel property on the banks of lake toba on samosir. The first time in february we stayed in a deluxe room (hot water etc) but they had the most charming batak villa- which is where we stayed in May when we went back.
