I stayed at Kim Lien's guest house for two days. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. They wanted to help me with whatever I needed and even arranged a free motobike drive to the train station when I was late. So nice!! The people who run this guest house are really friendly. One thing: because it was low season... More

Dear Irene, thanks for your review. It was very humid weather, and as you experienced the humidity could not be escaped inside or outside. Perhaps you didn't know the A/C has a 'dry' mode to make the air more pleasant. The room is absolutely not moldy. The spots in one upper corner are not wet and are caused by a... More

This guesthouse has really comfortable beds--I think they're memory foam mattresses! Which is a great treat for a backpacker! Kim and her partner are very kind and upgraded our room for free. The breakfast is delicious! Our one night stay here was just what the doctor ordered! Thanks Kim Lien!

We stayed at Kim Lien's Guest House for 4 nights / 5 days and it served as our base for exploring the surrounding attractions as well as Ninh Binh itself. Our travel to NB by private car and our return to Hanoi by train were all well organised by Crossing Vietnam in Hanoi, and these were an adventure in themselves.... More

Dear Ross and Kerry, Your review in support of Liên's guest house is highly appreciated. We noticed a mindful observation regarding Liên's passion and pride. Since you stayed five days with us, you got to know Liên and Ninh Binh a little better. Allow me (manager Rudy), to take this opportunity to further explain to the readers where your comment... More

I stayed for 2 night in the KimLien Guesshouse and It was excellent. It is in a quiet and small corner of the City and not very far from the train station so you could get into the taxi and pay around $1 to maximum of $2 for a drive to the guesshouse. The owners were very friendly, caring and... More

We stayed for three nights at Kim Lien and Lien and Rudy organised everything perfectly so we could make the most of our time in the area. We had a days bike ride and a trip to Cuc Phong, both of which were excellent! We had dinner at the guest house, although it is the same thing on offer each... More

Although it is just a small guesthouse but I did really impressed with this place and definitely I'll come back. First is the surrounding, it is a small corner of Ninh Binh city, peaceful and calm lifestyle. It gave me a relaxed mood during my trip. Next, the staff is so nice. They really CARE for us, like family members,... More

Room was ok. We could leave our luggage after check out and we could also stille take a shower before we rook the nighttrain! We rented a motorbike from the hotel, but this was quite expensive (8 USD), normally you can rent a motorbike for half the price. Laundry was also more expensive than other services (40,000 vnd per kilo).... More

Dear guests, thanks for your rating. We are under the impression that your review is written to advise fellow travelers on a shoestring who frequent inexpensive hostels. This might be relevant information to some, but with our guesthouse we do not limit ourselves to this category of travelers. People on all budgets find their way to us. For this reason... More

We were made to feel right at home at this guest house. Rudi gave us lots of information as well as hand drawn maps on the area, so we managed to get off the beaten track and visit some more Authentic Vietnamese sights. Lien also helped to organise motorbike drivers for the day, who were lovely, and we borrowed bicycles... More

We stayed two nights at Kim Lien Guesthouse. As we paid 16,5 USD per night we were not expecting any luxury. Despite that, if I compare it to other accommodation we have used during our trip I would not say you get much for the money. We have paid similar price and even lower for better quality. We did not... More

Dear all, this is a shocking review, written by guests who did not accept a house rule. We close down our PC in the night to prevent that people rummage through the building unsupervised. As a repercussion, the couple from Iceland wrote a damaging review with false statements. We never raised our voice, let alone yelled, that is a blatant... More

We had a really nice time at Lien's guesthouse. At $15 a night the room was perfectly good, air con, comfortable bed, bright and airy. The breakfast (not included) is nice, as is the dinner on offer. It's not a high end restaurant, but it's home cooked and tastes very good, especially after a long days trekking or cycling. The... More
