We were made to feel right at home at this guest house. Rudi gave us lots of information as well as hand drawn maps on the area, so we managed to get off the beaten track and visit some more Authentic Vietnamese sights. Lien also helped to organise motorbike drivers for the day, who were lovely, and we borrowed bicycles... More

We stayed two nights at Kim Lien Guesthouse. As we paid 16,5 USD per night we were not expecting any luxury. Despite that, if I compare it to other accommodation we have used during our trip I would not say you get much for the money. We have paid similar price and even lower for better quality. We did not... More

Dear all, this review is shocking and full of incorrect statements. We never raised our voice. Essentially these persons challenged one of our house rules and threatened to write a terrible review to get their way. The reviewers are insensitive individuals who trot through other cultures without having any respect for local traditions or living conditions. We do not have... More

We had a really nice time at Lien's guesthouse. At $15 a night the room was perfectly good, air con, comfortable bed, bright and airy. The breakfast (not included) is nice, as is the dinner on offer. It's not a high end restaurant, but it's home cooked and tastes very good, especially after a long days trekking or cycling. The... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights (with a two day gap in between) whilst seeing the sights around Ninh Binh. The room was fairly basic (just a bed, a table, a couple of chairs for furniture - no tv and no bar fridge), but was fine for just a quick stop-over. The rooms have free wi fi as... More

Dear guests, we are pleased to see that in general you were satisfied, however we are saddened by your rating which is below our average. An unequal comparison with more expensive hotels and unfounded security concerns is something unexpected. According to your comment you stayed in similar priced accommodations in Asia, but in your review history we found no proof... More

We stayed here for five nights. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the guesthouse location was very good for cycling to the hills, the basic breakfast was okay, and the rental bicycles were fine, although it would have been nice if the mud had been removed from them after the first time we used them. Note: have a... More

Dear guests, thanks for writing a review. There was a little misunderstanding with your invoice but it was resolved quickly. Naturally we keep a copy of your reservation in our computer, however it is upstairs in our office. Shortly before your arrival I passed on the information that breakfast was included in your reservation to the reception but no note... More

We stayed at Kim Lien Guesthouse for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. They arranged transport from the train station which was on time and safe. The owner was welcoming and helpful. She speaks good English even though we had a couple misunderstandings. The location is great. It is on a small street which makes it quieter but very close... More

I can only echo what others have said. Super friendly owners and the room was simple but more than adequate, especially since effort had been made to ensure it was cosy (like a little bedside lamp and a good desk). Decent wifi, good location, filling no frills breakfast, peaceful area. The best part of the experience was the ease of... More

One of the nicest guest houses we stayed in, in Vietnam. Rooms are no frills which keeps the cost down but very nicely decorated. The breakfast is very good, and dinner was nice if not a bit of a random mix of dishes! The best thing is the knowledge of the owner and her business partner who have produced a... More

Kim Lien Guest House was an excellent base while exploring the beautiful area around Ninh Binh. It is in a very quiet part of town and is near the western edge of the city which is closer to the main attractions in the area (such as Tam Coc, Trang An Grottoes, etc). It is also somewhat close to the main... More

This is easily the cleanest guest house/hostel/hotel I've ever been to with beautifully decorated rooms in a quiet area of Ninh Binh. The friendly owners also provide excellent service and delicious food (make sure you order dinner here one night, you won't regret it). If you are coming to Ninh Binh you should stay here!
