With a little more staff training this could easily be a 4 Star budget hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpfull but saying there isn't a short tour because they don't get commision, well I suppose that's business. Luckily the hotel is 50m from the water, and a short walk found many small boats willing and eager to take... More

We stayed just one night at the Kim Long hotel but wished we could have stayed longer! The whole experience was perfect - a great way to celebrate a birthday! We booked very late via the internet (which was such a smooth and easy process). We arrived hot and tired and were warmly greeted in reception with cold drinks. The... More

We (family with two daughters) stayed two nights at the familyroom on the top floor. The pricing is correct (basic but good room), reception very friendly and when you arrive you get an iced tea and fruit. I really recommand you book a 7 hour private tour through this hotel for visiting the floating markets; fruit garden and noodle factory.... More

Although we didn't stay at the hotel we booked a half day trip to visit two floating markets, including Cai Rang and a fruit orchard. We left at 5.30am but the early morning start was well worth the effort. The light for photos was beautiful in the early morning and the market was busy with activity. We went to a... More

Adequate room, reasonably sized. Fridge was full of beer and soft drink, always a plus! Otherwise, the room and the hotel is no frills accommodation, as someone else had mentioned. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the hustle and bustle, close to some good eateries and also the Mekong, of course. There is a nice vegetarian... More

I stayed at the Kim Long Hotel with my three kids for two nights in July 2014. We had the top floor family room which is basic but comfortable and was a great place to have a beer on the balcony in the evening and look over the river and the town. The owner and his family were very friendly... More

Good budget no frills accomodation if you're just wanting to gt your head down for the night before heading out to the Mekong. Unfortunately the Hotel manager became quite unprofessional as I did'nt book tours through him. I'd already prearranged a guide who met me at the hotel at 5.30am and his response after eyeing her up and down when... More

I stayed with a friend for 2 nights at Kim Long Hotel and will never forget my wonderful experience. Truong, the owner, met us outside as our taxi pulled up with a warm and endearing smile. He helped us set up a street market the very night we arrived and also a tour of the Mekong Delta for the following... More

The hotel looks a bit like a communist building from the outside but the rooms are actually large and nice. The reception are is non descriptive and charmless but you will not spend much time there :-) The breakfast was buffet style and had good range option. I expected the staff to be able to organize day trips to markets... More

Definitely stay at Kim Long Hotel in Can Tho. The owner Truong and his lovely family will take great care of you. The beds and rooms are very comfortable with a lovely rooftop to relax and watch the city bustle. Upon arrival Truong greeted us on the street and asked us what we wanted to do. We took advantage of... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An intimate, 2-star boutique hotel, Kim Long provides excellent service and overlooks Can Tho river and Ninh Kieu Quay. You can enjoy Vietnamese warmth and hospitality at its most charming.Established in December, 2012, the hotel itself is only a few months old so it’s spotless and has a modern design in rooms at a very reasonable price. Each room is different, but all are spotlessly clean, new furnishing with fast internet, an air-conditioning, a great fan on the ceiling, AC, a telephone and a fridge. Bathroom is clean with solar hot water heating and cold water from outlet. Owner and staff are unfailingly friendly, and helpful which makes your stay a real pleasure. Hotel also has a nice rooftop in which you can view the river and take pictures. On-site parking place is free. With Gony, spa, cafe, restaurant being just opposite hotel, serving reasonably price local and western food, Chinese and Vietnamese Temple, and Ho Chi Minh statue close by, the hotel is perfect for shopping, sightseeing and entertainment. Location wise you can’t beat this place. More importantly, it is right in the heart of Ninh Kieu harbor and a local ferry terminal. The river is 50 feet away and all the night action are also right there. The day and night markets where the groceries and fresh food stalls are also a minute walk from the hotel. Hop pho which is 10 min walk away serves good western coffee. It was a fairly quiet road which was another plus for hotel.Exploring Can Tho is easy with scooter rental, bike rental, boat rental and bus ticket services available. Noticeably, Kim Long is only a 20 minutes drive away from the new Can Tho Airport, which links the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city to the Mekong delta region and 10 minutes drive away from the bus station of Can Tho city, which makes it possible for you to move from place to other places easily. ... more   less
