We stayed here 3 nights and loved it! It was one of our favorite places to stay in Vietnam. It's a unique spot that really captures life in the Mekong Delta. The Shack is pretty rustic, so if you're looking for sterile luxury, this isn't it. But it's perfect for relaxed travelers looking to see the countryside and still have... More

So after staying at Nguyen Shack Ninh Binh we thought it would be rude not to join them once more at Can Tho when we arrived in the south. Again we were warmly greeted with a refreshing welcoming drink and a familiar face as Dung (hostess) had also arrived here a few days earlier. We were given chance to settle... More

We turned up unannounced due to the fact my daughter had viewed it then in her haste booked the Ninh Binh shack.(beware, aparently we were not the first)even though they were full they went out of there way to clean the staff rooms above the restaurant for us to stay in,and arranged the payment to be transferred.. We stayed here just... More

I was in Nguyen Shack just before têt holiday and I really enjoyed my time there. It was the first night I slept well in Vietnam after the busy/crazy Ho Chi Minh City. Nguyen Shack is the best place to relax and enjoy the countryside of Mekong Delta. You can laid down on one of the two hammock in your... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 1 night, and am glad I didn't book more than that. The bungalow was good and very spacious with hammocks and comfy chairs. Not much to complain about there. The staff was the biggest let down, unfortunately. We arrived and were given no information about the surroundings. We asked to borrow some bikes,... More

We arrived here the second day of our holiday after staying for one night in hcm. It was great from the beginning! The bungalow is very cosy with a nice balcony with a hammock. We had a great time there with tanja and snow (the cutest little puppy). The atmosphere is great, because it is a small place you get... More

Dear value guest, Thank you very much for the positive reviews. I think you did a good decision to escape the big city of HCMC and come to the Mekong countryside to start your trip. Breathing some fresh air and being in contact with nature is essential to feel in holiday. We are working hard to make your stay a... More

We stayed here 2 nights. Not the easiest place to get to but that makes it all the more authentic. We took a taxi from HCMC airport to the bus station then a bus (125K pp) to Can Tho and a taxi from there to the homestay. Wonderful staff, 2 of which speak good English inc Tanja. Sensibly priced trips... More

We arrived after a long drive from Ho Chi Minh and were met with a cool drink. We did two of the tours sunset trip and the floating markets and both were great. Food was lovely lots of nice vege meals to choose from. I too was upset by the little pig kept in a tiny area who didn't have... More

Wonderful stay. Remote location but good for cycling. 3 good tours arranged here with 15% discount if you take all three - a tad on the expensive side for what they were even so. The market visit is unbelievably good. Plus Troang took us out for a 16km cycle round villages free of charge. Free fishing off side of walkway... More

This is not a home stay but bungalow/hotel accomodation run by a manager Tania who is very good and some local staff. It is rustic and is surrounded by water on all sides, the food is good and the bungalows basic but adequate. My stay was spoiled somewhat by a neglected little "pet " pig that they keep in a... Dear value guest, Thank you to having take time to write your comment about Nguyen Shack. That is true we are not living at Can Tho anymore because we have a new homestay in Ninh Binh. We are in the south sometime, but not always there. Our staffs are trying their best to make a homestay atmosphere. They live there... More
