The place could be great but for us, everything was spoiled by the noise from the large groups : the 2 evenings we were there, Mr Hung arrived around 6pm with large groups of backpackers (15-20 people); some people from the group stayed up drinking, singing, shouting until very late (1-2am) making our sleep impossible. I think Mr Hung is... More

We only stayed one night, but we were the first guests for the Vietnamese New Year (Têt). The cabins are very basic, which is OK, but they needed a good clean. The view from the cabins across the canal could have been lovely, but it was spoiled by an accumulation of rubbish in the weeds and dead trees on the... More

We stayed right alongside the river; the bungalow itself was fine for what it is. Though there was some sort of animal poop on the floor... which was... gross but then... At night; around midnight- Rats started scurrying across the rafters. Two of them fought in the corner by the bathroom. I was up for hours... with my mosquito netting... More

Mr. Hung is a very cheeky entrepreneur person who will use any opportunity to get your money. First, the price per night is very expensive compared to the general pricing in Can Tho (you can book a decent hotel in the center for this money, and Mr. Hung's place is in the middle of nowhere, very far from the city).... We really enjoyed our time here. OK, it's not a homestay in that you sleep in a small block of rooms Mr Hung has built across the road from his house. But you do eat at the house and interact with the family. The evening cooking lesson (you make and cook some of what you eat) is real fun, and... More

We had a great time in the Mekong Delta in this lovely homestay. rooms are basic, in an adorable bamboo hut overlooking the water. It included electricity, a fan and a (cold) shower. Mr. hung and the other staff are very friendly, arranged pick up from the local bus station and back and the food was amazing with a great... More

We are city 2 seniors from Canada travelling to Vietnam for the first time. Hung Homestay was a unique adventure - staying in a clean bamboo hut & sleeping under a mosquito net! There is a small road on one side & a river on the other side so some noisy motors, but with earplugs we did well. A issue... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend during a Mekong Delta tour in oktober 2014. First of all, this place is no real homestay. You live in a private bungalow and are in no way living with the family. The room is descent. Cosy, pretty clean and the bathroom is okay. The bed though is really hard and there is no blanket... More

Possibly the worst accommodation I have ever experienced. No sheets just a nylon cover over a very very lumpy mattress, (coils almost poking through)' making sleep almost impossibly hot and uncomfortable. I strongly suspect the blanket and nylon cover had not been washed in a long while. Room was not clean , under the bed was disgusting, the shower with... More

Spent 2 lovely days with Hung, family and friends. Everything from beginning to end was perfect. We had lots fun adventures, walking riding, boating, visiting the floating markets, rice noodle making, various nurseries, farms and so on. My family exhausted. The food has been superb and everyone very friendly and helpful. My Hung's provided with excellent information on how to... More
