The hotel is really nice, quiet and tidy. It got a small indoor pool and a solarium. Free wifi and a nearby parking lot are available. Breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly. It was really nice to lie down on the outdoor couches and listen jazz in the afternoon. It's located in a great area, less than... More

The Rex is a charmingly old-fashioned hotel just off the Rambla de los Argentinos, which runs along the waterfront. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the staff were particularly helpful and friendly. We didn't use the indoor pool, as the weather was excellent and the beach was nearby, but we enjoyed the excellent buffet breakfast. The hotel's public areas... More

Old build but very clean quiet, there a swimming pool for the clients, and a solarium. Excellent breakfast, and the service very good. Good beds and confortable rooms. Near the beach, amazing city, near of a small mall of artesian works and presentations

Old fashioned hotel near the beach in Piriapolis. Clean and confortable. The staff is very friendly. Maybe its the nicest hotel in the area at the same price of the other hotels. The breakfast is very good. You can have an excelent american breakfast.

Hotel Rex is very basic, from its breakfast to rooms and services. Owner could speak perfect English, which was very helpful. Location-wise, it's very convenient... it's on the other side of the street from the beach, and walking distance from all sort of stores. Hotel is supposed to have wi-fi, but we could never access internet in our room, so... More

Lovely town, great beach on the doorstep. The hotel was very clean, and staff very friendly, its the nicest hotel in the area and makes for a quaint stop over. You must visit la tartauga in punta colorado about 10mins by taxi, fantastic food, cocktails and ambience overlooking the ocean.

We happened upon this wonderful hotel, and were absolutely ecstatic about the decor and ambience. The staff was small, helpful, and sincere. The location is spectacular, close to the beach! There is a variety of things to do from walking along the waterfront to visiting the enormous casino. A wonderful alternative to the nearby bustle of Punta del Este, which... More
