Brilliant hotel. Good communication when booking. Great rooms- Plate of dates on arrival bed turned down with a flower every night. Great service in the restaurant , lots of waiters but few guests. Where was everybody , it was mid August. Lots of amazing walks but get a guide . They are not cheap. Walked towards the border and Star... more

The setting of the hotel is spectacular, with large panoramic windows from each room overlooking the haunting deserted village of Tamerza. The remote location makes it a very peaceful and relaxing setting. The hotel is small enough to feel intimate and lovely, built to resemble a berber house, with a great pool area and well decorated spacious rooms. The staff... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night in April 2009. We paid more than 600 TDN for one room including breakfast and dinner (2 adults and 2 children). The location was beautiful, the room nice and the beds very good. However, the restaurant a la carte dinner was not the same standard. It was actually the worst dinner we... more

We had such a lovely stay at Tamerza Palace, it was such a nice surprise on our expectation from our previous disappointing stays at many of Tunisia's "4-5 Stars" hotels. I'm not sure if our rooms were newer or older ones, but it was very clean, pretty, nicely furnished and a pleasant place to stay. The view over flooded ruin... more

We stayed in the new part of the hotel and the rooms were fantastic, extremely well decorated to a very high standard. The view was breathtaking; we had a little balcony facing the ruins of Tamerza. We arrived after lunch and were immediately greeted with a refreshing welcome cocktail which was great considering the temperature at that time of the... more

We stayed here 3 nights towards the end of August 2008, when there were very few other guests. This is low season at Tamerza with daily maximum temperatures in the 40s C, and the oases and their waterfalls trickling rather than gushing. Nevertheless, it was a magical stay. The beautiful swimming pool terrace overlooking the abandanoned old oasis town was... more

this was the 6th hotel visited in Tunisia and spent 3 nights here, the rooms are simply decorated and really more 3/4 stars quality but the view of the abandoned Tamerza village & the mountains were amazing the staff at the hotel seemed a bit frazzled by the amount of tour groups coming in, but although they looked stressed &... more

It is by far the best hotel I stayed in Tunisia in my 3 weeks motorbike trip there. Very reasonable prices (for the european standards and after bargain - which is a must in Tunisia, as we figured out), Amazing view to the old Tamerza village (which is deserted now), luxury rooms, very clean and the people there are very... more

This is a 'one of a kind' hotel! The location is literally gorgeous: the terasse and swimming pool are overlooking an abandoned village in a moutain oasis. You can sometimes see a shepard walk in the oued below with his sheeps. This is a lovely surrounding, completely different to everything else you know! The swimming pool is lovely and so... more

Impressively located, nice rooms with a spectacular view, good food and great service despite the staff's familiarity with tourists. more
