This is a traditional style hotel situated in the middle of a pretty horrible town. The Ruean is hard to find, on a tiny side street off the main road but only accessible from one direction. Use your GPS. But when you are in the establishment the outside does not interfere at all. It is amazing. The staff is very... More

Beautiful surroundings, gardens well manicured, pleasant outdoor terrace with excellent breakfasts. Very comfortable, nicely furnished, cozy rooms set all around beautiful indoor pool nicely landscaped. Helpful staff. Within 15 minutes walk from city centre and market. Excellent value. While being far from the magnificent temple ruins, I would return there anytime. Close by is transportation that will bring you to... More

Having read the reviews for this hotel, we would just like to add our own: service is excellent, restaurant food is good (though the inclusive breakfast is a little disappointing - instant coffee in a country that excels in its coffee!), rooms (ours was on the ground floor) are a little small and dark but are comfortable and clean and... So, there are some reviewers who have some problems with this hotel. Yes, the hotel is located in a housing-zone and there are some simple thai houses nearby. Yes, the rooms in the lower level are simple and a little outdated. There is so some noise from the street nearby. But the hotel is so lovely! The traditional thai architecture... More

Nothing to complain generally, only the price is quite high for what you have and for thai standards. The restaurant is really good by the way, and swimming pool is open till 9.30 pm so it is nice to swim after long day in the temples

We really wanted to love our stay at this hotel - it's so charming with it's traditional Thai wooden structure, the service is great and the staff are so friendly and the lunch and dinner at the restaurant are delicious and reasonably priced. Plus, the massages on site are wonderful and the chilly pool is refreshing after a long day... More

I flew up from Bangkok and took the airline bus into town (least expensive option). This was a good place to stay - a bit out of town, but it was still easy to get to/from the hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were rustic but clean, the pool relaxing. the food was good (I ate dinner one... More

Spent three nights there. It's a bit out of town (in terms of walking) so be aware of that. The rooms by the pool are nicer (and a bit pricier), but large. There is an interesting atmosphere, but the staff is very helpful as well. Even had dinner there one night and it was good. Only problem was the wifi,... More

This is apparently the best hotel in (new) Sukhotai. Very nice swimming pool and building architecture. Lot of flowers and beautiful decoration. Calm situation. A little far from the center but you can rent bike for free (just check them before departure) and there is free transfer to the bus terminal and to the city at defined time during the... More

We spent three nights in Ruean Thai and were very pleased with everything. From the very start when we arrived, tired after 20 hours of travelling from europe, to the last goodbye when we headed to Bangkok all service was great, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is like old Thai house in two floors, rooms are clean, pool is... More
