First impression : 30min walk fromthe bus station. Warm welcome from the owner. The hotel has the room structure displayed all around a green park. The room : At 550 THB we could get this very nice room with a great balcony. Plenty of plugs, which is rare. Wifi range up to the rooms. We could plug the fan out... More

Great location, close to bus to ruins and night market. Very friendly staff and nice little bungalows set in a garden with balconies. Great pizza place down the road with cheaper rooms though.. just saying!

Good location, near the only bars in Sukhothai, the night market and the bus to the old town. The staff were lovely and the food was top notch though on the expensive side. I stayed in a fan room, it was rather bleak, wood paneling every where, but for the price I wouldn't expect much more. Sukhothai old town is... More

This guesthouse is clean and fine but very basic with just a bed and a small fan in the room and small shared bathrooms. It is centrally located in New Sukhothai close to where you get the share taxi to the Sukhothai ruins. The staff are friendly and the food is decent but nothing special. The best thing about the... We stayed here for one night and it was very nice. They have simple but clean rooms and the staff is really, really helpful and friendly! The breakfast was good (try the muesli with yoghurt and fruit). The location was great as well. It was a short walk (5 min) to the bus station where the Bus to old sukhothai... More

I stayed in a fan room with a friend for 2 nights when travelling Thailand. We paid £2 per night each for a twin fan room and I suppose you get what you pay for. Bathrooms were clean, warm showers, staff were friendly, we had a great meal from the restaurant. The negatives were the bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, the... More

Stayed at the Ban Thai guesthouse for three nights in one of the fan rooms which are great value for the price. The guesthouse is located only a few minutes walk to the bus stop to go to the historical park, or only 5 minutes walk to the night markets. The staff are extra friendly and helpful in assisting with... More

Stayed here two nights at the beginning of my trip. Had a very good sleep, muesli for breakfast is delicious, a must try. Shared bathroom spotless, good hot shower. Close to bus to historical park, close to night market. I just found it a bit too quiet, no real common room except for the restaurant where almost nobody ate/ just... More

I rad about this place in Lonely Planet and let me drove there from the bus station. The welcome was not very friendly and the female owner only wanted to give me a bungalow. After my driver obviously told her that I might look for a budget option surprisingly there was another free room. The room was okay, with wooden... More

The Ban Thai is an economical guesthouse in a quiet pocket across from the bridge in new Sukhothai that is clean, well organized and presented, although quite compact and short on atmosphere, not that there aren't enough other places to hang out in town. If you want a cheap place to stay that is very functional and correct, this would... More
