We stayed here for one night and it was very nice. They have simple but clean rooms and the staff is really, really helpful and friendly! The breakfast was good (try the muesli with yoghurt and fruit). The location was great as well. It was a short walk (5 min) to the bus station where the Bus to old sukhothai... More

I stayed in a fan room with a friend for 2 nights when travelling Thailand. We paid £2 per night each for a twin fan room and I suppose you get what you pay for. Bathrooms were clean, warm showers, staff were friendly, we had a great meal from the restaurant. The negatives were the bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, the... More

Stayed at the Ban Thai guesthouse for three nights in one of the fan rooms which are great value for the price. The guesthouse is located only a few minutes walk to the bus stop to go to the historical park, or only 5 minutes walk to the night markets. The staff are extra friendly and helpful in assisting with... More

Stayed here two nights at the beginning of my trip. Had a very good sleep, muesli for breakfast is delicious, a must try. Shared bathroom spotless, good hot shower. Close to bus to historical park, close to night market. I just found it a bit too quiet, no real common room except for the restaurant where almost nobody ate/ just... More

I rad about this place in Lonely Planet and let me drove there from the bus station. The welcome was not very friendly and the female owner only wanted to give me a bungalow. After my driver obviously told her that I might look for a budget option surprisingly there was another free room. The room was okay, with wooden... More

The Ban Thai is an economical guesthouse in a quiet pocket across from the bridge in new Sukhothai that is clean, well organized and presented, although quite compact and short on atmosphere, not that there aren't enough other places to hang out in town. If you want a cheap place to stay that is very functional and correct, this would... More

I bought a private to end my holiday around northern Thailand and I do not regret it. It was a great decision. I arrived quite late at night and my first impression was the great food they make. I had pork panang and I thought it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and made you feel at home, even walking... More

Quiet but just two walking minutes away from the main street. We had a bungalow with a/c for 13€. It was basic but had everything we needed. All staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available in various options, quality was OK for the price, the coffee very good. One evening we had dinner there; taste was good and all... More

Stayed in a bungalow with air/con. Small but cozy. Good price, nice people. 100 meters to main road. They don't provide soap or shampoo, and breakfast is NOT included, but based upon my experiences with guesthouses in Sukhothai (I've been to 3) this is not unusual. Everywhere else they are included but you have to compare Sukhothai to Sukhothai and... More
