I stayed at the Rain Forest Resort (Phitsanoluk, Thailand) only because my friend recommended it! And I am soooo glad I took his advice! Their excellent service started before I even began my trip, while I was still at home, weeks away from travelling, I had questions about transportation, directions, etc. The staff on the phone were always helpful, polite... My recent visit to the resort was in early Mar 2013 and it was my fourth time there. I was impressed with the hotel owner's (Ken) concept of "natural conservation". All trees that surround the resort are original and no single tree was cut down. The resort is located next to Kek river. The river is clean thanks to Ken's... More

We were disappointed with The Rain Forest Resort. It seems that it was at one time a nice resort but our experience was that it was a bit dirty and run-down. The bathroom in our bungalow had mould on the walls and smelt bad. At THB3000 a night we found this was far too expensive for the service and accomodation... More

We arrived at the resort at about noon time on a sunny December day. Walking inside the resort, it immediately felt like early evening as it was sort of dark with all the tall and dense trees and other plants. The feel of a rainforest was made stronger with the winding paths downhill to the bungalows which is uneven sometimes... More

I have been once at RainForest Resort last month and I felt so impressed to be there. Actually, I had to work at Phitsanulok’s downtown and i found that there is a must-visit place to live which is away an hour driving from the town. I got the suite room in front of the riverside. My room number is 7.... More

The power of internet promotion! I agree with everything Putu69 said. When one imagines an eco resort in the rainforest you conjure images of large trees and ferns and vines and birds (not the ones kept in a gage) and tracks to walk along. What you don't realise is that the 'resort' is sandwiched between a busy road and a... More

Three of us joined two Thai tourists and our instructors on a 8 kilometre rafting trip organised by Rain Forest Resort. We paid 750 Baht each which is a lot cheaper considering the length and beauty of the journey. The instructor was constantly smiling and joking. Other sites offered the same trip for double the price. We didnt stay at... More

If your destinations are along the high way Phitsanuloak and Lomsak you may take a break or spend some nights in this resort. I visited this resort 4-5 times during past 10 years. Everytime my family goes to Phu Hin Rong Kla or Khao Khor I will stay here for 2 nights at least. The rooms in this resort are... More

My family and I visited Rainforest resort in Feb this year. It was our third visit in the last five years. The latest addition to the resort is the farm to promote organic farming and create awareness of recycling. It is situated five minutes' walk away from the Resort. During the trip, we also took a walk to the nearest... More
