Stumbled upon this bungalow after a 5 hour scooter ride and ended up loving it. It was super quiet in and around the place, partly because it was low season I reckon. I planned ot stay in Pai and in Golden Hut one night but stayed three nights because the hut was so relaxin. There is a cafe next to... More

Located right at the river, 3 mins to walking street, Wifi only at the reception, cold beers there as well! I had the suspect tht my bedsheets were not really fresh but had my sleepingbag with me anyway ... Bathroom was clean, all bungalows have a small terrace to sit outside and watch the river. The lady at the reception... More

I really loved this place. Riverside with a beautiful reception where you can eat breakfast while looking at the river and the mountain with the white buddha on it. I shared a hut with a guy I met in the mini van towards pai and we paid 150 baht pp. But unfortunately my bed was awfull! The guy I shared... More

it's cheap price for a backpackers, like me traveling alone. Rooms are poor and you can hear the music from the pub, it's loud and noisy when people screaming and yelling. Even worse that the monks are reading with microphones 4:30in the morning. so loud .people are still sleeping. I am awake now and blaming to let everyone knows.

Golden Hut is clean and inexpensive and it is located only a few minutes walk from the bus station. There are many guest houses to choose from in Pai, but I could not find any other that was cheaper, cleaner or quieter. The workers are friendly and the garden is pretty and peaceful. There are hammocks and WiFi, and there... More

Pros - clean bed, good mosquito net, free water, good communal chill out terrace, located on the river, hot shower Cons - wifi doesn't reach all the rooms, bathroom plumbing had a lot of leaks, bathroom stank of stagnant water, bed was very hard, service unfriendly, staff are very noisy in the morning (there was someone sweeping my balcony at... Stayed for a week in a hut on the side of the river. Hut was basic but had all you need, including a mosquito net. Staff were friendly and location is great and at the same time peaceful. Good, cheap place to stay x

Golden Hut was a good place. Lovely basic bungalows with all you can expect for the price you pay. Pai was such a beautiful place, it made up for any short-comings. Bungalows basic with all the essentials such as mossy nets and decent bathrooms. All in all, recommended.

Our stay at the Golden Hut in Pai was ok. Cheap, basic bungalows at the riverside, hot showers, friendly staff and a good vibe among the visitors are the good points. The bad points where the musquito nets full of holes and ants in the bathroom. The bed should get a 'medium' rating (if you count in the fact that... More

Very comfortable bungalow and twin beds with hot shower for 400 baht. Mine was out the back but I think its the same price on the riverfront if available. I hadn't booked ahead and arrived late (8pm) in middle of high season but no problem getting a room - I was attracted by the friendly manager and friend busking on... More
