staff really friendly and room rates includes free tea, coffee and fruits all the morning. Comfortably queen sized bed, and lovely garden in front of the room. The wifi is okay to keep in touch with your friends or family.

Return to Mr Jan's two years in a row and will be back again if in Pai. Lovely family. Cheap, clean (bedding that smells so good), running hot shower, wifi in bungalow, mosquito net and stone throw to main strip of Pai. What more would budget traveller want? ;) This has nothing to do with Mr Jan's, they are awesome,... More

I only stayed for 2 nights but it was a great little find. Very close to all the bars and cafes but far enough away that you don't get any noise in the evenings (although I was woken up in the morning by the sound of a rooster but didn't mind too much). I had my own hut to myself,... More

Mr Jan's is a little gem. It provides a tranquil haven just one road back from the main strip so you can indulge in the vibrant local nightlife and retreat to the peace and quiet of a well manicured garden when you've had your fill. The beds are super comfy with clean and soft bed linens including a proper quilt,... More

It's hard to believe that you're in the middle of busy Pai with its lively nightlife when you stay at Mr. Jan's. The large, shaded garden is a quiet oasis filled with abundant green plants, flowers, and herbs. The tall trees provide shade and help keep the bungalows cool. Never needed to use the fan. I've recommended this place to... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Mr. Jan's. The price is below the average of the guesthouses around, the location is great (just behind the main street - close enough to walk anywhere and far enough to have a quiet sleep time anytime). The family that runs the business speaks poor english but they are the nicest people possible. When... More

A friend who stayed some years back recommended it to me and when I arrived in Pai and saw the sign, I was very excited! However... The garden was a bit moldy and the staff were a little mean (maybe tired since it was late in the day?) when I arrived. For me, this has no impact on the score.... More

For the atmosphere and price is 5 stars. But true, don't go there unless you are broke and price matters because there is so much choice in Pai! The garden is beautiful and like a dream, right in the centre of Pai. It is very basic but good central location with toilet outside but not far away from the room.... More

I stayed for 3 nights at Mr Jan's Guesthouse and was surprised at the value. It was just over $3 for a private bungalow with it's own bathroom. Upsides: - The price! - Location - right in the middle of town - Comfortable bed - decent fan - Nice garden - privacy Downsides: - Bathroom was a little rough (they... More

Ive stayed here many times over the last 10 years! But this time, my opinions have changed; hasnt been updated or even probly cleaned since i was first here. Bathroom is sick, you'd get better in prison. Room fine if you are young, broke and dont give a dam "like i once was many years ago".In low season €3 a night,... More
