This Resort locates in large area few kilometres outside Pai city. There are lots of trees in big garden, making back in nature. Room is spacious, clean but less equipped and accomodated. Services was good with smily staffs especially one who help us releasing Flying hot-air bag("Khoam loi" in northern thai language). Breakfast was not so good both in quality and varieties,just... This resort is built on a rather large estate with a separate restaurant, swimming pool and a huge garden. The Pai river runs behind this property but they don't really make use of it. Nothing much you can do by the river. Seems like they built up this viewing area but since has become dilapidated. There are pathways that lead... More

This night's stay was booked for me as part of a 3-night tour. Upon checking in, a young man wheeled my luggage to my bungalow. He lifted my luggage up the 4-5 steps onto the porch, unlocked the door and couldn't leave fast enough. I couldn't, for the life of me figure out how to turn on the lights. I... More

Just a couple of kilometres outside Pai - town a bit too touristy for me, seemed geared for backpackers - Baan Krating Resort was an unexpected delight. We had stayed in a cheap, but so grotty, guest house in the town with a dog that barked all the time (a pet hat of mine - please excuse the pun) and... More

We stayed for one night in December with friends as part of a road trip between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son. Stopped off in Pai before and found it a bit too "touristy", but wanted our friends to make up their own minds. Baan Krating was lovely and now we have re-thought our first impressions of Pai. They upgraded... More

Clean, cozy, quiet resort. Great little resort for getting away from it all and truly relaxing.Out of Pai a little ways. Friendly staff. Free shuttle in and out of town till 9:00pm. Staff was always quick to do anything for you. I quite enjoyed the natural serene setting.

This hotel has nice bungalows. There is a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and tv. The tv has only Thai tv stations and the reception does not offer any DVDs for foreign travelers. The staff is very kind and will drive you to town or anywhere for a reasonable price. Nice pool, though a bit shabby sourroundings...The pool lounge chairs are... More

Excellent value for money. The bungalows are all large and around a central large garden. Although si mple furniture, the rooms are nicely decorated and have all amenities. Bathroom are with wood, which make a nice atmosphere. Remember you are in the middle of nowhere in a mid sized hotel (not a 5 star hotel). Staff is very nice. The... More

On our trip to mae hon son, we stopped first in Pai. a really perfect town, where the time seems to be stopped in the 60's. we slept in a hotel, on a 20 minutes walking distance from this town Pai, which is called: baan krating. a very quiet place with even a lovely swimmingpool, all 'houses', but with very...
