Pai is lovely and pleasant. There is a calm and welcoming atmosphere there which is reflected also in the Montis Resort. The resort is off the center but they provide free shuttle upon request which was always available (the resort was rather empty so not so many other guests). Service in general was excellent. They really went out of their... More

The Thai wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights in Pai last week. It is a very modern resort very close to the centre of Pai. A bit strange but it is themed on Africa. Perhaps the architect was not aware where Pai was. But apart from that we really enjoyed it. It is the quiet season... More

I loved this place. Strangely it's an African village themed place about 2k from the town centre. It has a central lobby area with the rooms dotted about the grounds, you can be taken to them in golf buggys if you wish. I stayed in the safari villa room. A nice self contained mini suite. The staff were very helpful,... More

This is my first time in Pai, a small town of Mae Hong Son. The reason I chosen to visit because I have heard a lots of people especially Thais saying that Pai is one of a very romantic place should visit. Also, myself have read and watched about this from a book/movie called “Pai in Love”. I could say... More

Stayed at Montis Resort over New Year as we wanted somewhere nice and the good resorts in the centre of Pai town were all fully booked. As it was NY, the place was full but service levels were good. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the English of the front desk staff to be excellent. We stayed in a safari... More

Let's get the weirdness out of the way first: an African Safari theme? Why? It looks so weird, like an amusement park. And what a shame since they spent a lot of money making it nice, but it just looks out of place. Awkward. Other than that, we came here after receiving food posioning at Phuong Pai Art Resort. We... Montis resort will give you a safari-African style lodge experiences. We stayed there for 3 days on our Pai trip, the resort is great, got all the services and amenities that you need. The location is not that far from the walking street, however, walking is not recommended. You would better off with the motorcycle (200 baht/day). Overall we really... More
