Sitting on the hill with excellent views of the town and river below this is a nice place to stay. Ann is a great little lady. A delightful eccentric host. Though her colleague Peter is seemingly useless. Not sure what he does. And he knows nothing. If anything he makes her job much harder. Whilst my stay for the night... More

It's quiet here and the beds aren't very comfortable but it's cheap. As to the owner - she was really friendly but seemed a bit crazy so maybe you have to just catch her on a good day. The whole place seems very messy and unorganised but it's right next to the circus school so it's a cheaper option than... More

I stayed at Darling Viewpoint on a 2 night stay in Pai. My first impression when I turned up with my friend was one of "where is the reception area to check in?!" because they don't really have anything that resembles one. However when we did get checked in we found our bungalow to be a tight fit for the... More

This place has few positive things to talk about. But i'll share them, the view was awesome especially around sunset. The bungalow we stayed in was spacious, it wasn't very effective use of space though. The owner was a delightfull personality. The bad: we haven't come across worse beds than these. The entreance to the bathroom was horrible, I nearly... More

My stay at Darling was certainly one for the books. Darling greeted us like her children and welcomed us into her bungalows. She gave us a really great room that had a beautiful view of Pai and the mountains. Unfortunately they were doing the burnings so it was really smoggy but the sunsets are still phenomenal. The chilling area was... More

Everyone staying at this hostel was really cool. We were there for NYE and they had a fire pit going. It has a hippie/party vibe. The hostel itself is about a 10-minute walk from town across a rickety bamboo bridge but nothing too far. And well-worth the beautiful view from the bungalows. It's right next door to Pai Circus Hostel.... More

The reception is disorganised and messy. I got there at the same time as four other people, we were left to wait for over half an hour, nobody was in the reception area, there was no way we could call anyone. Eventually someone came and went, without helping us. The owner who calls herself "Darling" (I can think of a... More

So I guess there are a few positives and negatives to every place when you are staying in a budget hostel. There weren't any beds it was just a mattress on the floor and my duvet smelt like a retirement home. But those I can look past. The building I was in had a lot of holes in and let... More

I stayed around one week in Pai at the Darling View Point. It is a bit like a hippy and party place. Typical backpacker accomodation. Location: The Darling View Point is located around 10 minutes walking from the centre on a little hill. Pai is not really big, so the location doesn't matter much! It is very nice to enjoy... More

I moved across from another hostel in town to Darling View because of the great atmosphere. Nightly bonfires, great people, cute dorm rooms in chalets and stunning views. Darling (the owner) is beautiful and accommodating. The only downside is the cold. It gets down to 10 degrees at night in Pai and the chalets are relatively open so the cold... More
