We really enjoyed our stay at Mut Mee Guest house. It is located on the river with beautiful grounds and a relaxing feel. The rooms are clean and comfortable but fairly basic, I would recommend upgrading to the newer rooms with TV but the ones without are definitely okay. The staff, Ben & Julian are what make the place feel... More

This guesthouse provided a great base for our stay in Nong Khai. The rooms though basic were comfortable and the showers hot in the older rooms. The honour system for drinks works well and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Watch out for the swarms of mossies (take plenty of repellent) and the very cute cat trying to steal your food.... More

We had a great time here. The place is filled with long term travellers and lost hippies finding themselves, and we loved that. We travelled with 2 kids, and met quite a few people here in the communal gardens. Rooms were good, nicely appointed, comfortable beds, good air conditioning. We initially didn't have 2 rooms located together, but Julian made... More

A lovely guest house right on the banks of the Mekong, with rooms to suit all budgets. It has a great garden area where you are free to while away the days and nights, laze in hammocks, eat the very good food, treat yourself to a massage and has free wifi to boot. The staff are all there to look... More

Recommended by a friend, we're so glad we stopped here for a night before crossing to Laos. Perfect location overlooking the Mekong, with a great atmosphere. Laid back staff and long term/repeat guests make this a lovely sociable place. We enjoyed the food and although the basic the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

When rating restaurants and hotels the famous guide Michelin uses up to three stars with this best category meaning "Worth the Detour". This for us summarizes our trip to and stay in Mut Mee House. When first planning our trip to Thailand I ran across blogs mentioning Mut Mee and then read in depth all of the information that our... More

The minute we opened the door to room "E" we knew we were in heaven. They have more expensive, and also less expensive accommodations, but whatever your budget, this place is the real deal. I could do a whole page on Nong Khai alone and it too would get 6 stars.....:) We found ourselves enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the... More

Was here three years ago and always looked forward to returning as it is a pleasant laid back place to stay with the kitchen turning out nice meals. Stayed both times in the newer rooms which have comfortable bedding, good hot water systems and are a reasonable size. Mutt Mee is the type of place you could book in for... More

I was supposed to stay for 2 nights only and then head to Laos, but I sprained my ankle only 2 hours after arriving, so Laos was off the program... I stayed the first 2 nights in room D (the river room), which I absolutely loved. Lots of space, beautifully decorated and waw that view over the Mekong... :-) Then... More

It was so lovely to be of help to you. Both my wife and I were quite worried about you when we found you sitting in the garden obviously in a lot of pain. So we are glad that you managed to enjoy yourself with us despite your injury. You are right, we will be installing little fridges into more... More
