Garden has been redone, making a lovely garden, spectacular. As usual, my room was clean and comfortable. I'm afraid, though, when the boss is away, the kitchen mice will play. Twice, I had to clear tables of dirty dishes and wipe them down before I could use them--while the staff sat around their own table on break. I would suggest... More

Familiar and supportive staff -smiling, joking and working hard! The cafe by the Mekhong river might be the best location in Nongkhai to relax and concentrate. IF I could have chance to visit just as a traveler, I would stay with Mut Mee Guest House again.

This lovely little resort has the feel of a beach-side resort. It's got nice rooms that are very varied in price and style, and the atmosphere of the place is very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a lovely place to meet people from everywhere, and it's a pleasant experience to stay there. It might be a little... More

I was traveling to Vientiane with my fiance for a visa run, and on the way back through Nong Khai decided to stop for a drink at Mut Mee. The atmosphere immediately made us want to stay so we inquired about a room with the owner Julian. He said they had one available (and at only 300 baht a night!).... More

Good guest house, location and lovely garden setting, tasty food and the staff were very helpful with information about the area. When making my booking I had only 3 options to choose from and had only booked a few days in advance so not much to pick from depending on the cost. I do agree with one other review "choose... More

Yes, your comments are fair. Room 9 is certainly our weakest room. And generally it is only the few weeks in the high season that it is used, though there are a few guests that expressly ask for it when they come back. And yes it would be the noisiest room. However, it is priced accordingly and, for those who... More

This guesthouse is very good as confirmed by most comments: good food, lots of different nicely decorated rooms, lovely garden, suggestions for day tours. Note that the phonic insulation of the rooms in the old buildings is not maximal. The construction is made up of wood, this means chair displacement or other noises are easily heard by the neighbours.  Take... More

We came to Nong Khai for the fireball festival, planning to stay one or two nights, and ended up staying over a week. The staff at Mut Mee is incredible, we ended up going out to a lake for the day with some of them, and got to celebrate Halloween at Gaia Bar, a fun place to watch the sunset... More

If you have a few spare days, weeks or months it is hard to find a more pleasant location location to while the time away than in the Mut Mee garden alongside the mighty Mekong River. Total beauty and relaxation. Rooms are more than fine for the price. The English owner Julian is quite the character if you enjoy enjoying... More

Although the welcome by Julian was really warm and friendly, the rest of the communication was rather cold. Even when we were standing outside with our luggage and he passed by a friendly/simple goodbye was too much. But this sums up the negative experience with the guest house. It is a very peaceful place where you really can relax. Don't... More

I am so sorry to have made you feel ignored. The last few days you were here were rather difficult, with my wife in bed with the flu and my son coming back from England for the Christmas holidays with a host of problems. These should not have caused me to brush past with out greeting you, and I apologise... More

We (family of 5 with kids aged 11-16) stayed here for 4 nights in early August 2015 while working with OpenMind Projects. It was the start of our 3 week trip from Europe and THE PERFECT PLACE to acclimatise and settle in to a relaxed, focused, happy and productive way of being. Rooms clean and spacious, food excellent, wifi available... More
