With the evening closing in on us and not having made prior reservations, I found this hotel while searching on my phone about an hour before our arrival. It met and exceeded all of our expectations, having never been to Nong Khai before. Just a couple of complaints that I have and those are the hardness of the bed and... More

We drove to this hotel from Loei and found it fairly easily. it is on a very wide road which is not realy that busy. However it is about 20/30 min good walk into town or you can take a tuk tuk or taxi, sorry cant give you a price as we like walking so did,nt use them. There are... More

We have been staying in the Royal Nakhara for one week, which as we have learned later, was unusual. Normally, guest stay one or two nights as a stop over either from or to Laos. Since we traveled with 2 small children we have booked months in advanced a Suite. As we have arrived, the stuff did not speak much... More

A pleasant and comfortable stay at this hotel. Modern and clean but suffering from the usual lack of professional finishes, particularly in the bathroom. Shower not very good and with low pressure and water volume. Breakfast selection is poor for western standards, but excellent if you're Asian. There is free wifi throughout the hotel and the staff are attentive and... More

I've stayed here once on last year. This is my second time visitng this place. The first time was more impressed me. But the thing they still have the same standard is staff's good manner. They welcomed us warmly with the smiles. Anyway the room still the same; nice, clean and new but someting is changed. I think there are... More

Room was excellent, and staff more than helpful. Nice restaurant where the food and service was very good. If you had a river view from the balcony it would have got a 5 but you can't have everything. Super hotel. My second visit and will definitely stay there again in my trips north east.

By U.S. standards, this is a mid-range hotel; but for Nong Khai quite satisfactory for a short stay. We were booked in the higher floors, termed VIP, at a slight additional cost. The property is used by bus tours as a rest stop and overnight stay, so expect some crowding during the acceptable buffet breakfast. Service was friendly and helpful.

arrived early, around 1pm, but checked in quickly (after they found an English speaker who was exceptionally helpful!) large clean comfortable well appointed room with fridge, tea and coffee making facility, large tv with channels in English and exceptionally efficient a/c which was just as well as temperatures were in the 40's. warning of mosquitos in open corridors which were... Just a short ride on a tuk tuk everywhere, takes you down to the river walk where plenty of eating places / pubs to be had, and very laid back., this is just next to Mutt Mee hotel. If one of the staff do not understand you they will get a member of staff to assist you who can speak... More

We drove up to Nong Khai in order to get to Vientiane for a visa. We found some cheaper places that looked ok but this was the only one we found with a car park, and furthermore we were able to leave it there for one night. We paid ฿200.- for the privilege, but what do you expect?. Friendly reception,... More
