Commonly used phases such as worn or needs freshening , just won't work here , this is about 1 step away from disaster . Filth behind every closed door . If you had to use the stairwell it might cause you to vomit . Days of dirty plates and linens just stack inside , Oh why did I have to... More

An experience!!!!!!! 10 day stay. Not really sure how to put down in words the experience!! The good:- location ( by border ) bustling place. Rooms - clean and spacious - we had room overlooking Mayanmar which was great!! Outside - great ice-cream parlour and foot massage place. The lady who looked after the little bar/cafe attached to front of... More

My wife and I booked what we could afford when we took two young people north with us to explore the Chaing Rai/Mae Sai region. We found the hotel to be quite basic, but it was clean and the staff were helpful. We had one breakfast there. I love Thai food, but I still like my farang breakfast, and when... More

The whole place is filthy and in need of serious maintenance. The swimming pool area had what looked like week old tissues in the drains and the surrounds. The only redeeming feature is if you take a Myanmar view room it is a lovely view over Tachilek including the local Shewdagon. Position is also excellent with a 50 meter to... More

Are you on the visa run to Mai Sai Thong Hotel is a ok place to sleep. The rooms are ok and clean. You can have your dinner and breakfast there and then it is only few hundred meters from the border to Burma.

For those going across to Myanmar, this would be the most convenient hotel to stay in ie. about 3min walk to border. Don't expect a 5* treatment for the reasonably cheap hotel. Wifi is only available in the lobby area. Bfast is very basic. Room is clean with dated furnitures but the bed is comfortable with reasonably thick comforters as... More

Quite honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot! Its right next to the border and the view from our rooms were over to Burma It's smelly, dirty, and horrible. The location is perfect though. If you can put up with the smell and the filthy rooms you might not find it... More

Big hotel well located near the border, with a security parking for the motorbikes (or car). Rooms are standard. Buffet breakfast is huge, with fruits. Very convenient and cheap hotel (1.000 B) BF included.

This is a standard international hotel next to the border between Thailand and Burma. It is convenient and safe for especially the first time visitors to stay night. Free Wi-Fi can be used only in a lobby. Though a general standard tourists room as a clean and not uncomfortable bed is provided, the pressure of the hot shower was a... More
