We came here as part of a tour of Thailand for one night. This hotel is very nice, little lodges in a very traditional Thai setting. the staff are friendly and the hotel has good facilities in lovely grounds. Breakfast is served in a seperate building overlooking the river, you get to it by a suspended wooden bridge. Evening meal... More

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a tour of Thailand and out of 8 hotels this one was the worst one. We had no hot water and had to have cold showers, and the shower was a hand held one. Evening meal and breakfast were OK.

If you are looking for a place to retreat far from the noise, just read, sleep, this is the ideal place with setting within a very green place but with very low management sadly, but the rooms are clean even old. Bring your own toiletries and towels if you are used to your own because here too basic. Plan to... More

The hotel evokes a tranquil lodge feeling against the backdrop of a tropical setting. Suspended plank walkways connect many of the sections of the hotel. Rooms are small but adequate. Restaurant dinner offerings meager though breakfast was ample. Wine for the glass was in my estimation inexcusably high--about 9USD.for this hotel and for that matter most hotels serving a table... We stayed one night in this hotel, at the end of our 3 days bicycle trip. We read the comments from other users just before getting to this hotel and we thought it would be very average. Actually we found the hotel much better than we thought. Our small bungalows (rooms #1, 2 and 3) were not smelly at all,... More

The bungalows are set in the nature and it's nice if you want to relax. However, there was a small problem with the door and we were locked outside. Some difficult to jump from the patio we called for help but were neglected. Finally we risked to break our leg and went to the reception. On the other hand, the... More

We recently stayed here for 1 night and the hotel looks better in pictures, however it was still a nice place to stay. our room was standard and we had a patio which was just over grown with trees, however it was clean! There breakfast bar overlooks a river which is pretty - however take bug spray! and if you... More

If you choose to stay at Lampang River Lodge, you can't expect any reliable transportation, including public transport or privately-owned taxis. I stayed at this hotel for a weekend trip to Lampang. Overall, it was pretty consistent with what other reviewers have said. This seems to be the nicest upscale option, and the setting is really peaceful and nice. But it is overpriced for what you get and very inconvenient for getting around and seeing what Lampang has to offer. In... More

Firstly this hotel is not in Lampang, which is around 6km away When we arrived we were told we couldn't go to Lampang due to distance, strong staff reticence and lack of cabs(!) not your typical Thai help. So we had the blandest buffet you could imagine; take a Thai dish and remove spice, sour, sweet flavourings. Leave uncovered for... More
