This hotel is centrally located and convenient for a walk around the old part of town. It is near the walking street, river, and not too far from the night food market. However, like several others who have posted about this hotel, it is quite old and needs some renovations. I checked in, quickly unpacked, took a shower and the... More

I have visited this privately owned hotel once a year since 2002 and, sadly, gradually watch it decline. It's best feature was the open above street level restaurant with a comprehensive menu and excellent food. This restaurant is no more as it is all closed in with a 'supposedly modern' exterior and is solely used for weddings and functions. The... More

Have visited this place on and off over a few years and watched its slow decline. The main attraction of this place was it's raised dining area overlooking the street where you could people watch as you ate. All closed in now and not used instead you sit around lobby in the main mosquito breeding area. Food mediocre and the... More

We stayed here the 4 nights we were in Lampang. 650baht deluxe room double bed and ensuite. We had trouble with the tuk tuk driver at the train station as he had a certain list of guesthouses he took ferangs. After much debate we got to the hotel. We found the staff helpful and english was fine. The rooms were... More

It seems odd giving a hotel that is in desperate need of refurbishment 4 stars, but that would be to misunderstand what this hotel offers - that is accommodation to Thai families on In our large triple room, the decor was very tired, the toilet pan designed for a midget and a tap was broken; but everything else worked: fridge,... Asia Lampang Hotel is a little old and dated, but we paid just under 500 baht a night for a room, which included a new air con, fridge, cable TV, free internet, breakfast, which we thought was excellent value. The room was of a decent size, clean, including dazzling white bed linen and towels. Bathroom clean but in need of... More

The exterior entry way is being upgraded, but the rooms are in dire need of renovation. They were clean and the linens were changed during our 4 night stay. Desk staff and maids were very friendly, but breakfast staff apparently hadn't had enough coffee to get motivated. Free breakfast is nothing more than what you can expect for about 4... More

I stayed in a single standard room (490B/day and 100B deposit) with air conditioning, a fridge (2 bottles of free water inside), a clean bathroom with hot shower (even in the midnight), a TV, and free wifi (though my guidebook said it's 50B/5hours). And even a breakfast was included. The reception guy understood basic English. Certainly better than services you... More

We were pleased with everything at this hotel. The service was pleasant and very helpful, and it was a little cheaper than our previous hotel, in Phetchabun, even though the cost here included breakfast. The refurbishment must have caused some inconvenience to the staff, with chunks of the building out of use and blocked off, but we never had any... More

We have checked out several Lampang hotels and stayed at 3 different ones. All in all, Lampang does not offer as much value for your money as Chiangmai and other cities. Most Lampang hotels are at least a decade old. Unlike many other older Thai hotels this one is very clean and odor free. While the exterior looks a little... More
