When I first visited Koh Tao in 1996 this is how the island was every where: basic, charming, great food, amazing value. This time we unfortunately had upgraded to another nearby resort but we came here for lunch and dinner a few times and also stayed just one night as the other resort was strangely overbooked. I will stay here... More

The food is average at best, especially for Thailand where amazing cheap food is available everywhere; the accommodation is basic plus it is not exactly in a convenient location, away from any sort of night life or shops. With that said, i still love it hear and come as often as i can, a place where you can truly relax.... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in a bungalow on the rocks. We had an amazing view and it was so quiet! Also the staff was really friendly. Breakfast was good but for diner we went to the restaurant next to the resort. The bed was not really comfortable and there were very large spiders. Besides this minor tings you... More

We ended off our Thailand stay at Sai Thong. Very friendly staff, an amazing location and a simple bungalow made for the best experience of our trip. The restaurant's Coconut shakes are amazing! And the beach is awesome for snorkeling.

We stayed 4 nights here and had a wonderfully relaxing time. We phoned up and got a sea view bungalow for 600 THB (booking online is much more expensive) and our friends had a bungalow "on the rocks" for 1500 THB. The sea view was very simple, just a wooden hut with a rock hard bed and bathroom with toilet... More

Just spent two nights at Sai Thong and wish we didn't have to leave. It is rustic at best and isolated and with plenty of visitors from the jungle but a small price to pay for such a magnificent location. We had one night in a bungalow on the rocks for 1500 baht - the view from the hammock was... More

When you pay a pittance for rough accommodation, you can look at it as an adventure. Sai Thong, I feel, are overpriced for what they offer. For our family of 4, we paid a high season, evidently discounted rate of 2800 bht per night for the 2 brm adjoining bungalows on the rocks overlooking the bay. It is a beautiful... More

I had a bungalow with beachview which was very awesome! The sea is amazing, it's super clear and clean. The family who runs the place is very friendly. The food is okay, if you want GOOD food I recommend Siam Cookies next to Saithong. The bungalows were simple but fine. I already read about the insects and other animals in... More

It was a perfect one-week stay in this resort. Bungalows up the hill are very simple: hard bed, small shelf, fan, mosquito net and basic bathroom with cold shower. But really that's enough as most of the time you'll spend on the beach. Most up-the-hill bungalows have nice view to the beach. So it's just marvelous to swing in the... More

Our family of four spent five glorious nights in two adjoining bungalows on the rocks overlooking stunning Sai Nuan 1 beach (Siam Cookies and Banana Bar are next door at Sai Nuan 2). This place is perfect for anyone looking to completely get away from it all. We could have stayed forever! The bungalows at Sai Thong are very basic,... More
