Walking distance from the ferry pier - don't get taken in by the rip-off taxi touts telling you you can't walk to this hotel as it's too far. It's a 10-minute walk. Pluses - Bungalows neat, tidy and clean. Location is ideal. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Minuses - Slight smell from the drain in the bathroom, water pressure a little... More

The Blue Diamond Resort was great, the bungalows were around a 5 minute walk from the ferry pier and gave easy access to restaurants, though the hotel restaurant was extremely nice itself. Only downside was the air-con would turn off during the day when the key was out the slot to save energy which meant the room was unbearable for... More

Ko Tao really is a fab island and the rooms in this hotel were, for us, totally amazing. We had a family room for up to 6 adults and for a family of 5 it was great. It was quite pricey compared to other choices and the food at breakfast left a fair bit to be desired. Location was super.... More

Thailand the land of the smiles - not here! I don't know why they are not friendly to their customers, they don't have a reason to. They have really pretty bungalows in a garden, the location is good (nearby the center of Mae Haad but still quiet)... Further the beds are the hardest I had in Thailand. And the bathroom... More

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was a bit of a building site. Very expensive for Thailand. Staff were great. Was out of the way from all the parties. Right on beach. Rented a scooter from them which wasn't in good condition. Not a budget stay but enjoyed the rooms

Great rooms for a good price. Breakfast right on the beach and helpful staff who will organize your tours and rent your motorbikes to you without taking advantage. Renting a scooter in koh Tao is a dangerous business so preferably find a trustworthy hotel who you can rent through, like this one. Even although there was some construction going on... More

We only stayed here for one night, thankfully: There were stains on our sheets. Power went out a few times during the evening. Bungalow had a Thai shower (fine, but should really advertise that). The TV channels were 98% Thai, which also should be advertised - everywhere else we stayed during our trip at this price point had the same... More

So, if you look at the places you'd say it's paradise... it's not. The nice beach you see is the one of the port, so forget bathing in there. The beach is VERY short even with low tide, and in any case not charming. I was in the "premium" room, which is on a very large terrace wich you share... More

Located on the white sand beach, clean neat cottage. Close to market area and diving schools. Good service. Value for money. I would recommend this resort for family with kids. Would love to stay here again on my next trip to Koh Tao
