Blue Diamond is excellent value and a great base to explore Koh Tao. It is close enough to the pier but far enough away from party central for you to be able to enjoy the best of both worlds. If you want to party, then there are plenty of accessible options, but Blue Diamond also allows for peace and quiet.... More

- I booked: Deluxe Double Room with Pool Access - Positive: Quiet environment, big and nice room with direct access to the swimming pool, free and fast speed Wi-Fi, great breakfast. - Negative: Nothing! - Other comments: If you don't want to ride a motorbike AND if you don't plan to go diving or snorkeling, you may consider going to... We stayed in this hotel for 1 night to have a quick discovery of Koh Tao before hoping to Nang Yuan resort. It's about 10 mins walk from the pier which is very convenient for us. The road to the hotel is very small so only motorcycles can get thru. Some part of the road is unpaved so we have... More

On the sea shore with a fantastic view of the sea this place is very central and tranquil. The rooms and bathrooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. Air con is good but not great. Beds are perfectly comfortable and are situated in sweet little huts which overlook a lovely swimming pool which is mainly deserted as most are... More

Walking distance from the ferry pier - don't get taken in by the rip-off taxi touts telling you you can't walk to this hotel as it's too far. It's a 10-minute walk. Pluses - Bungalows neat, tidy and clean. Location is ideal. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Minuses - Slight smell from the drain in the bathroom, water pressure a little... More

The Blue Diamond Resort was great, the bungalows were around a 5 minute walk from the ferry pier and gave easy access to restaurants, though the hotel restaurant was extremely nice itself. Only downside was the air-con would turn off during the day when the key was out the slot to save energy which meant the room was unbearable for... More

Ko Tao really is a fab island and the rooms in this hotel were, for us, totally amazing. We had a family room for up to 6 adults and for a family of 5 it was great. It was quite pricey compared to other choices and the food at breakfast left a fair bit to be desired. Location was super.... More

Thailand the land of the smiles - not here! I don't know why they are not friendly to their customers, they don't have a reason to. They have really pretty bungalows in a garden, the location is good (nearby the center of Mae Haad but still quiet)... Further the beds are the hardest I had in Thailand. And the bathroom... More

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was a bit of a building site. Very expensive for Thailand. Staff were great. Was out of the way from all the parties. Right on beach. Rented a scooter from them which wasn't in good condition. Not a budget stay but enjoyed the rooms
