We stayed in Ban's in April while my boyfriend did his Advanced OW - we were in a private double fan room with shared bathroom. The room was totally fine - clean & had a TV with movie channels which was a bonus! It is a little stuffy with the fan but completely bearable. The shared bathroom was like a... More

I think it is worth to pay some extra money for the A/C rooms when going scuba diving here. We got 'upgraded' for free the first two nights, but the difference with the fan room we were in the last two nights was huge. The fan rooms are very basic when compared to the more luxurious A/C rooms. The diving... More

Having stayed in many different hotels around the globe, from shacks to 6 star hotels, I feel like I can definitely write a review for this place. Ban's Diving Resort's main attraction is definitely its affordable, awesome, and safe Diving School. The Hotel offers room deals within the different diving packages. Fair enough. The problem is neither the diving nor... More

I did my english open water advanced course in with Anthony Griffiths. Even though i am not a native speaker it was a 1000 % worth taking the class with him. We had the most professional and hilarious time. The dives were stunning and i always felt like i was in save hands!!! I can highly recommend visiting Bans diving... More

It's worth splurging on the upgraded room, it is significantly nicer. The staff is lovely, super helpful. Onto the scuba... My sister and I have never gone scuba diving before and I have a bizarre fear of depths that I thought would always keep me from it. After a little persuasion we signed up for a Discovery Dive, a day... More

After much personal research and lots of conversations with tec divers from the UK, Egypt and around south east Asia I choose to do my tec instructor ratings with Jeff Glenn at Bans dive resort. From the get go the knowlege, experience and enthusiasm that Jeff portrayed throughout the training was second to none, Massive thanks also to all the... More

During my backpacker trip round South East Asia, we opted to do the PADI open water diving course with Bans. We arrived and the bad complex is like the centre of koh Tao. The four of us stayed a four bed room and opted to upgrade to AC for an extra 200TBH each a night. (The AC was actually leaking... More

Following 2 people telling me to stay here, I stayed with 3 friends in a 3 bed air conditioned room with and extra bed added in. We also completed our PADI open water diving certificate while we were here. The diving course was fantastic with brilliant instructors including Neil, Chloe, Nat and Tara's. They were very patient and made us... More

Went there in July 2015. Bad first impression, we got a poor room without AC. Went to the reception, then they give us a better room. I didn't like that because I felt it was done with purpose. The location is good, but it is very expensive. You may not find better in the island - for the money -... More
