After getting off the boat from Koh Samui we were bombarded by locals trying to sell their services. The owner of this place was among the crowd of locals trying to get backpackers to stay on her property. After a little convincing we agreed to spend at least one night there to check it out. The owner, Ping Pong was... More

Seems like we feel the same as previous reviews. My wife and I went there one day on our scooter, the resort is set in an amazing bay, clear water, and fun snorkeling, and the owner(Ping Pong) seemed very freindly. However were staying at another resort and decided to spend our last night in Koh Toh at Ping Pongs cabins.... More

Rats for sure!!!! Loud club music at night from the bar!!!!A very psyho owner (ping pong). Don't expect a nice evening looking at the ocean on a private beach, you won't get that here. We have traveled all around the world and do not recommend this place. Good luck......................

The bungalows are very very basic, and nobody ever cleans them. On my arrival I found a rat (alive!) in the only drawer...apparently he had been living there for weeks! If you want clean towels, sheets or toilet paper you have to ask for them. The kithchen looks quite dirty and the service is incredibily slow (an hour for tea and... More

Only stayed here one night while travelling through the country but it was definately one of the highlights of the trips and the best accomodation we had.. Great food, great huts, great beach and an amazing feel about it

If you want time on the beach and don't care about getting around, this is your place! It's secluded, quiet, a perfect location on a perfect little bay. The bay's coral is quite bleached, but that's typical for shallows in Thailand now. :( However, there are 10-20 small sharks living there that are fascinating to watch while snorkeling--they're not dangerous.... I travelled through Thailand for 7 weeks and my 4 days at Laem Thain was by far the most memorable. I wanted to get away from it all. I wanted space, privacy and chance to experience Thai culture at its best. Having rented a large 250cc Honda dirtbike when I first arrived on the island I was able to explore... More

My best friend and I, both female age 22, travelled to Thailand in May 2004. We decided to go to Ko Tao, even though we aren't into scuba diving, and we stayed at the most fabulous place on earth: Laem Thian. These beautiful, serene bungalows are about 15 minutes from the dock where the ferry from Ko Samui comes in.... More
