During our dive course, we stayed at the Baan Talay resort. The rooms were situated in the middle of the jungle with nature at every angle and a beutiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The rooms have an outdoor shower with hot water and fans that are more than adequate to cool you down throughout warm nights. The... More

Read the other reviews, the place is stunning, romantic and quiet. But reviews are to explain "other" facts which are usually not told. First drawback (and as it seems it has happened to other people), we also did not get the "free" ride to the resort, in spite they knew we were arriving on that late ferry from Samui. The... More

We chose Baan Talay as we wanted a bit more of the rustic experience and it was a breath of fresh air from the commercial resorts on Samui and a whole lot cheaper! For a much better price we had a fantastic sea view, and some of the best snorkelling (other than Ngan Yuan)! We stayed in the sea view... More

You should definatly not go to this resort! When you read the other reviews you already get a good idea about the resort. The view is really pretty but don't be fooled by the pictures. A lot of resorts on Koh Tao have beautiful views for reasonable prices, this is definitely not your best choice. The huts are simple and... More

This is our second time at beautiful Baan Talay. Yet again, we have loved everything about this place. Sure, if you want a pool, a sandy beach, or walking access to nightlife, you will be disappointed. But if you want jaw-dropping views, gorgeous accommodation (at a jaw-droppingly good price), and amazing food, then I reckon this is hard to beat.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights only and at the end we were all sad to leave such a nice place. Note, this resort is not for party goers. It is perfect for those who want some real rest and quiet after travelling in busy and crowded Thailand, enjoing the nature, views and in-room geckos. Location is far and expect... More

Baan Talay is situated in a truly beautiful place. Our sea-view suite was wonderful with an incredible view and large balcony area. Lounging and relaxing here on our private day-bed was a joy. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and serviced daily - and the modern indoor/outdoor shower-room was a great touch. Mimi (who runs the place) and all... More

Customer service; I think hotel should check Gas tank before our staying. My husband checked it but it is empty. So there is no water for first 2 nights. It makes me having diarrhea. There is no room cleaning and no top up toilet paper. Every time we need to ask. Room; Sea side room, it is nice view bus... More

The view at Baan Talay was absolutely stunning. We had a great, new, clean room with great balcony and bathroom. The eating area was also great with a space just next to it for yoga held once a day. Despite this, we cut our stay short here as it was very difficult to get to and from the location. It... More

We stayed 4 nights in February. Got involved in the yoga and open water course. Both were excellent! One of the most stunning views I've ever seen. Which may be a big call growing up in NZ, but there it is. The grounds are exceptionally kept. Its seems a world away from the madness of Sairee. However if you ever... More
