We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it a lot. We stayed for the snorkelling and were not disappointed. The road to the resort is pretty hard to get to but they do have a shuttle and the first ride is free so they picked us up at the pier. There isn't a lot to do here so if... More

Got off the ferry to be greeted by the usual taxi scrummage. An unexpected sign with our names was held up by an enthusiastic guy with a modern resort 4*4 ute. We didn't remember organising transfers but I think the hotel does it automatically. The trip to the resort is an amazing journey over a twisting narrow steep road that... More

I stayed at montalay for One week in June with My boyfriend. The pros: The hotel was nice and clean, it felt like a jungle Laguna. The room we rented was big and had a big balcony. They had a good selection of TV Chanel's, so you had something to do during rainy days. They had a nice and big... More

Two female friends in our twenties were collected by the hotel and brought here. Nice gesture but there is a reason why - it's in the worst location ever ~ right over the far side of the island, a trek through mountain and unsurfaced road in a 4 x 4 is all that will get you here! The rooms have... More

We stayed there for two nights! At very beginning, we thought the food and drinks should be extremely expensive since its in the middle of nowhere! Surprisingly, they have really tasty food at very reasonable price, so are the drinks, breakfast is a bit disappointing but acceptable! Room was very big with garden-view comfortable terrace, everything works perfectly in room.... More

Second time around in Thailand, second time in ko tao. Overpriced food, by far worst wifi i ever had anywhere in Thailand, even had a lot better in a lot cheaper places. Room was good, A bit of a Ant issue in some of the rooms, the best thing with this resort was the TV channels, had 3 good channels.... More

A lovely little hotel located on the beach of Turtle bay. For snorkeling or scuba enthusiasts you can snorkel right off the beach and view a living reef with a vast abundance of fish. Truly fantastic. (I recommend saving some bread from breakfast and feeding the fish). The hotel itself offers a fantastic restaurant mixing both Thai and continental cuisine.... More

If you want to roll out of bed into amazingly clear snorkeling waters teeming with tropical fish after a hearty breakfast then this is the place for you. This place is definitely not for those with restricted mobility however, stairs everywhere. We stayed in the cottages on the hill which is quite a hike, not a problem however can be... More

We loved our time here!! We had a fan room which is quite hot, but you get used to it! The rooms are lovely and clean, and have a spacious balcony! (They're huge!!) We were within a 30 second walk of the beach and pool, the beach is amazing, snorkelling is so good here, we saw so many beautiful fish!!... More

Hi, Just to say: if you come to Koh Tao and you want to avoid the crowds, go to the east and stay at Montalay Resort (they have also budgetrooms). The location is really perfect, just at the Tanote beach, calm and quiet. Hard road to get, but they provide a pick up service from the pier. Also 4 times... More
