My boyfriend and I are travelling around Thailand with friends and the service we received at Koh Tao Royal Resort was second to none. A great open restaurant that overlooks the beach with delicious food and very very friendly and caring staff. I had fallen sick during our travels and upon arrival at Koh Tao Royal Resort I was at... This place is located on the southern end of Mae haad beach where the ferry arrives and can easily walk with luggage. About a 20 minute walk to sairee beach where most of the bars and restaurants are. Beach out the front is shallow and calm and the restaurant overlooks it. The food was great and the chef was so... We spent 3 nights at this hotel while travelling around Thailand. The staff were fantastic. They were so helpful and went out of their way to assist us. My partner had a bad ankle while we were here and each day they offered him ice to put on it while we had our food/drinks. They also booked us a boat... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved it!! Really close to the pier so save money on taxis, right on the beach with awesome sunset views. The food in the restaurant was very nice, but the best part for us was the staff, they were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, really friendly, booked things at... More

We spent 10 nights there in B2 bungallow. At arrival we could choose between standard and superior bungallow, we checked both of them and asked for the standard one as the superior one had really sticky steps to the bathroom. We asked for a fridge to be put in our bungallow and they were happy to do it. AC is... More

Overall, this was a disappointing and poor experience. At best, I would describe the Koh Tao Royal Resort as a backpacker’s hotel. We booked for 6 nights and checked out after 3 nights. This was the most expensive hotel that we stayed at while in Thailand, and it was not good value for what we got. The owners and help... More

The staff in this resort is something really great. They were very helpful with everything we asked for. Even with recommending motorbike rentals which don't rip you off at the end. That was the very bright side of this accomodation. Location is alos great, you can just walk from the pier by foot to get there. The beach at resort... More

My husband and I chose this place during a dive trip in Koh Tao. There were lots of options, but reviews and the desire to be in a little nicer place than at the dive resort bungalows made up our minds to book the last available room here (the Deluxe Bungalow with Fan). I don't know if it was the... More

This is the best resort we've stayed in the whole Thailand. The staff is so nice and they smile all the time, they greet you with welcome drink and make sure you have everything you need. The bamboo bungalows are nice, and we stayed in one without A/C (just fan) and it was enough to keep us cool as the... More

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Steve and Pauline. We stayed in a family bungalow with our 4 teenage kids. The bungalow was very quaint with the best feature being the hammock. The resort itself is in a great location (only a few hundred metres from the ferry) and with great views. You can even... More
