My boyfriend and I booked in for two nights here in December. We found the price already way to expensive for what was on the website but it was the only place available at late notice. We were given coconuts on arrival which was a nice touch. The room was basic but pleasant, we had a double bed, fan room.... More

One of the most expensive places we stayed in Thailand and probably the worst experience I had in all of SE Asia. The room smelled unpleasant and the building next to it was under renovations so throughout the day brick and wood pieces would fall onto our building. While we were in our room someone threw rocks at our little... More

Most expensive hotel we booked during out stay in Thailand and the worst one we stayed at. Booked a sea view bungalow and could only just see the sea! Big room but the entrance was big patio doors which meant when we were in the room we had to close the curtains if we didn't want other people looking in!... More

Spent the first night in the place next door (Viewpoint) for 1500 Baht, then moved to a fan room here for 800 Baht next to the bar in the photo above. It is still only 10 steps to the beach and some great snorkelling, there is a bar in front that closes before 12 so noise and customers were not... More

We booked a room for three at nearly £50 a night (the most we paid in Thailand - and the worst we stayed in). The room itself was nice BUT it stunk. The Bathroom stunk of sewage, all our clothes smelt of it after we left and the main room smelt of mothballs. We complained at reception and their answer... More

We hired a motorbike which was so gutless that up one hill I had to walk it up. Anything more than a slight slope it would not go up with a pillion passenger on and we're both light people (50+70kg). Owner said it was 110CCD but I think the decimal point is in the wrong place :p. Also beware of... More

These basic bungalows are great for a few days in Koh Tao. The view was gorgeous from our bungalow. Its a 4 min walk from Sariee beach so perfect for restaurants and bars but far enough away you can't hear the bars if you trying to sleep. Only bad thing is the building work, which starts about 9am but that... More

Dd hut has accomodation for a kinds of travelers, I stayed in two very nice huts. The oldest are very basic and can be better maintained but the new ones are very beautiful. The old ones have a hammock on the porch, witch is fantastic! Very friendly staff, good location, just next to the bars on the beach.

...unless of course you'd like to pay upwards of 150 US dollars for scratches to the bottom portion of the motorbike (where it's impossible to keep even remotely unscathed) and have the motorbike guy literally nose to nose with you if you don't pay. Unbelievable. Even if you try to go to the police, which the motorbike guy smugly suggested,... More

We actually did not stay at the DD Hut hotel but we rented the motorbikes from them located right next to the Lotus Hotel pool. It was an absolute scam. They charged $2050 baht for tiny scratches on the bike that I did NOT do. They claimed I crashed it when really the little Knicks were most likely from rocks... More
