Nice place in quiet area. Bungalow is basic but nice....maybe the bathroom can be improved. It is nice because directly on the beach but 600bht despite the average price is maybe a bit high. However I liked and have had no problems.

First off I want to make clear that the room I stayed in was very newly built, and it sounds like some negative reviews might be of older rooms. I was really happy with my room, I think I paid about 600 baht/night for a warm shower and fan (there was the option of aircon, which was obviously more expensive,... More

The Big Fish Resort, Koh Tao consists of, clean, comfortable rooms with additional options to hot showers and air condition. Friendly staff and wholesome foods with bbq fish every night. Just a walk from town or many bikes to rent. This is the more quiet, less populated side of the island. Right on the door step of a sandy beach... More

I don't understand the bad reviews? This is probably one of the better places to stay in chalok bay? The rooms are so clean and reasonably new. We had three different rooms so I can speak for that. Very comfortable. The restaurant is alright, can't complain. Service from the staff is decent also, we didnt notice any issues with them.... More

The location, beach and garden are so nice. but we had fleas in our room and of course on us. The stuff was not interested in complaints. and the boss was in holiday they spoke. After i complain, the receptionist told me i can leave the hotel but get no money back. And that we are the first people who... More

We stayed here with our 2 little boys. We arrived late so were looking for a place to stay 1night. We were planning to look for another place on the next day. Finally we stayed at big fish 5nights. It was just perfect for us. We had just what we wanted: simple accommodation on the beach where children could play... More

We are staying here for 5 days now in the family room ( 5 meters from the beach, 4 beds, fan, 1800 baht/ night). Its basic and the matrasses are typical thai, but it's clean and the atmosphere is very chill. The people at the restaurant are very friendly and helpfull. The food is the same standard as the rest... More

Our appartment was infested with fighting rats (!!!) But if that wasn't enough, the managerin was a) extremely unfriendly (i quote her: "shut up now!")  b) practically told us that we were lying and c) that we were just wasting her time. Unfortunately we didn't read any of the reviews before checking in because we booked it on arrival. If... More

Don't book this hotel. Money is the only thing that counts, you have to pay for everything. Problem is that you have to pay in advance so you can not do anything anymore afterwards, the staff is not friendly and when you have a comment, they do not take it serious. The rooms are only cleaned after 3 days, this... More

The room are overpriced and my sheet was not clean. The woman manager is unfriendly and talk to you only about money. Never one smile, and rude with her employees. Wifi is not free. Restaurant is overpriced also. The only good point is the inner garden with tropical trees and the direct view on the beach.
