Spent a few nights here over new years eve with my boyfriend. Room was clean, service was good, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The food was really good, however dinner at the main restaurant is a little pricey compared to restaurants in the main town. That being said, the grilled seafood was done to perfection, and the band... More

The resort is so nice and the staff is professional and helpful. This resort has the best options regarding snorkeling. I lived there almost 5 days and spotted black tipped reef sharks 4 of the days. And 3 sea turtles 🐢 as well. You can easily rent a taxi long tale boat for a cheep money on the beach if... More

I just left this hotel 6 nights before my scheduled departure (and my already paid 6 nights). The bay is beautiful, but the resort is so poor that you'll be shocked as me! The management sell the resort as "luxury", but believe me I didn't find anything luxury inside it (except for the Spa). I was really really upset, because... More

Stayed there with a friend for 13 nights in June 2014 Hideaway Villa: nice villa and clean Beach: Nice to look at but muddy water and lots of dead coral and urchins no way to go for a swim without flip-flops. Snorkeling conditions are as bad too, devastated corals all around the bay. After all you come to Koh Tao... More

This was a nice stay. It would have been even better if I were with my husband. However, I was on holiday with my two sisters (not so romantic lol). The resort was nice and quite, the beach was beautiful, the staff was nice and helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer to do a discovery dive! They gave... More

A wonderful resort where we stayed for several nights. It feels secluded and peaceful and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful and very well maintained. The beach which is primarily used by resort guests is clean, with white sand and clear waters. The individual villas are lovely and modern and clean; little can be faulted. We had a ripped... More

The Haad Tien Beach CLUB is the new division to the Haadtien Beach Resort and finishes are still being done in certain parts which wasn't a problem (not noisy or intrusive). We stayed for 4 nights in an Ocean Balcony room. This resort is absolutely stunning. The rooms are modern, comfortable, clean and uncluttered with every facility you might need.... More

I travelled here with a couple of friends, we had a great time even though we felt like it was a honeymoon destination. Rooms were very clean and the fresh fish BBQ was super tasty! We snorkelled around shark bay and saw some amazing things. Staff were really friendly.

The essential attribute I looked for in a resort was that it be on a beach good for snorkeling.I chose The Haad Tien resort because of the sentence in the homepage: 'The beach itself opens out onto a crystal clear shallow lagoon which is perfect for swimming and snorkeling.' ( haadtienbeachresort.com ) The staff were helpful, generous and good-natured about... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Haadtien Beach Resort is a unique boutique resort nestled amongst the palm groves in the southern tip of Koh Tao with its own approximately 350 meter secluded beach. The development has taken place organically with variety of private villas and rooms, both beachfronts and seaviews, set amongst 45 acres of land that encompass the resort. The villas have been designed to provide guests with clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation without sacrificing the natural environment which makes the resort so unique. The resort is totally private as it is situated in its own natural bay, with granite cliffs on both sides and jungle behind, yet the resort is only a kilometre from the nearest village with local shops and restaurants. The beach itself opens out onto a crystal blue shallow lagoon which is perfect for swimming and snorkelling, and at night all that can be heard is the lapping of the waves and the whistling of the breeze. ... more   less
