I hate writing such a negative review but I feel so strongly about my experience here that I have to. On first impressions this resort is situated on a beautiful beach. However it quickly becomes apparent that you are totally isolated and getting to and from Sairee beach can be stressful and expensive (you have to haggle with taxis who... More

We stayed here because the hotel was recommended to us. Even so the hotel is quite new almost everything is in bad condition. The staff isn't friendly at all but very good in making jokes about almost everybody. As they are currently building a new beachclub it is very noisy and a rotten smell is everywhere. We would never come... More

The beach club is the new section of the resort. Brand new with great naked wood decorations. I got a beach sea view room. As soon as we got into the room the smell in it was disgusting. The have a BIG problem with drainage!! You can smell it almost from the lobby. We tried to sleep there one night... More

We came with our teenage children in order for one of them complete hid diving course. We found the hotel through the internet and were impressed with the bungallows. When we arrived we discovered that the resort is pretty far away from the center which could have been ok uf shuttles offered were more regular. The management has to get... More

This hotel can't be faulted! The staff were all friendly and helpful, spoke great english, best western food in the whole of Thailand and the some of the best snorkeling in the world!. The room was high spec, hot water, A/c luxury living. The resort was a lot bigger than we expected some 100+ huts and now a hotel too.... More

This place is in a fantastic location, literally on the best beach of Koh Thao. The bungalows are awesome, even if not of extreme luxury but very well suited to the environment, The views from the Getaway Villa that has almost 360% full glass view, if you open all the curtains, is breathtaking. The sea is crystal clear and if... More

we had a great time at the head then. we stayed in one of the family villas, with a little plunge pool. Very luxurious, great team of staff, food excellent. the position of the hotel is outstanding on beautiful shark bay. My only reason for not giving this 5 stars is that given that Ko Tao so vulnerable environmentally would... More

The place is beutifull. In our rooms we had a very bad smell of sewage and most of the time the service was poor.If someone still wants to stay at this place it will be much better to stay at the bungalos erea and not at the beach resort which has the very bad smell of sewage.

Absolute;y beautiful paradise location. The beach villas are amazing, the beach is pristine and the sea where you can walk out to the coral is absolutely stunning. The standard of food was quite poor and drinks were quite expensive but the accommodation and the staff were fantastic. You need to leave the resort for night life but it's not too... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Haadtien Beach Resort is a unique boutique resort nestled amongst the palm groves in the southern tip of Koh Tao with its own approximately 350 meter secluded beach. The development has taken place organically with variety of private villas and rooms, both beachfronts and seaviews, set amongst 45 acres of land that encompass the resort. The villas have been designed to provide guests with clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation without sacrificing the natural environment which makes the resort so unique. The resort is totally private as it is situated in its own natural bay, with granite cliffs on both sides and jungle behind, yet the resort is only a kilometre from the nearest village with local shops and restaurants. The beach itself opens out onto a crystal blue shallow lagoon which is perfect for swimming and snorkelling, and at night all that can be heard is the lapping of the waves and the whistling of the breeze. ... more   less
